RIPLEY COUNTY MAN OFFERS $1000 REWARD FOR ARREST OF BURGLARS
A Ripley County man is hoping that a $1000 reward will motivate someone to come forward with information leading to an arrest in a series of burglaries and damaged property in that county. Authorities in the area say that thieves are throwing rocks into homes and vehicles. If someone comes out, they run. If not, they burglarize it.
Jim Lepold says he fell victim to the thieves Friday morning, when someone broke out the back glass of his truck, and stole his golf clubs and nearly $200 in cash. According to Lepold, over $1000 in damage was done to his house and truck. He says the crimes have been happening for months and he is ready for the criminals to be caught, so he is offering the reward.
If you have information about the break-ins, you can call the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department at 996-5555, or contact Lepold at 339-2328.
