HANDGUN AND MULTIPLE DRUGS FOUND DURING WARRANT ARREST IN POPLAR BLUFF
A Poplar Bluff man was reportedly found in possession of multiple drugs during a warrant arrest.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, shortly before 2 pm Friday, patrol and narcotics officers arrested 31 year old Bruce Jordan Jr. in reference to outstanding St Louis County warrants.
During the arrest, officers found Jordan to be in possession of a quantity of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, molly, and ecstasy; along with a handgun.
TWO CHARGED IN ALLEGED BUTLER COUNTY ASSAULT
Two people are facing assault charges in connection to an incident that occurred Friday morning in Butler County.
37 year old April Noyes and 17 year old Desean Bell, both of Neelyville, are each facing charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action.
The arrests stem from an alleged incident where a man was stabbed multiple times.
TWO ARRESTED IN SHOOTING OF CHARLESTON TEENAGER
Two suspects have been arrested in the shooting of a Charleston teenager.
According to the Charleston Department of Public Safety, 18 year old Jevon Betts was shot several times on June 9th. He was airlifted to an area hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
On the afternoon of June 13th, information was received that two suspects in the case were in Cape Girardeau. Both suspects, 19 year old Jadarius McCain, and 18 year old Lamarcus Williams, both of Charleston, were arrested by the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Both men are being held on charges of first degree assault, armed criminal action and property damage.
PIPE BOMB FOUND DURING ARREST IN CAPE GIRARDEAU
A pipe bomb was reportedly found during an arrest Friday in Cape Girardeau.
According to the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office, 28 year old Christopher Overy, of Oak Ridge, and 26 year old Zackary Stewart, of the Springfield area, were each arrested on charges of burglary and stealing.
During the arrest, an improvised explosive device was located along with stolen items. The Southeast Missouri Regional Bomb Squad and the A.T.F. were called in to assist in the disposal of the device.
The arrests stem from a burglary reported on June 5th.
CAPE GIRARDEAU MAN ARRESTED ON METH AND MARIJUANA CHARGES
A Cape Girardeau man is facing meth and marijuana charges following his arrest Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, 64 year old Ralph Craig was arrested shortly before 5 pm Friday in Cape Girardeau County. Craig was arrested on felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance for methamphetamine and marijuana.
Craig is also facing charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
THREE ARRESTED ON METH CHARGE IN WAYNE COUNTY
Three people were arrested on a meth charge Thursday night in Wayne County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 38 year old Amy Duncan and 26 year old Tara Wiseley, of Piedmont, along with 33 year old Max Vance, of Eugene, are each facing felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
The trio has also been charged with possession of marijuana.
TWO FENTON RESIDENTS FACING METH CHARGE OUT OF WAYNE COUNTY
Two Fenton residents are each facing a drug charge following their arrest Saturday in Wayne County.
According to the Highway Patrol, 30 year old Brandon Barrett and 24 year old Heather Alt, were both arrested shortly before 9 pm Saturday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
EAST PRAIRIE MAN ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT DRAGGING WOMAN BY HER HAIR
An East Prairie man has been taken into custody in connection to a reported domestic assault.
According to the East Prairie Police Department, On June 10th an East Prairie Police Officer responded to a report of a male chasing a female around Lincoln Street.
The officer observed the male dragging the female by her hair down the roadway and could hear her screaming for help as he was approaching the scene in his cruiser. The man then fled the scene on foot.
During an investigation of the incident, officers learned the female was allegedly severely beaten, causing multiple broken bones, lacerations, and contusions on May 5th. Police say the woman was held hostage overnight on May 4, during which she was beaten continuously.
She was reported as being in stable condition on Friday.
39 year old Brian Merryman, of East Prairie, has been taken into custody on charges of felonious restraint and two counts of first degree domestic assault.
CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN TODAY ON POPLAR BLUFF INTERSECTION
Business 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane beginning today as contractor crews perform pavement repairs.
The section of roadway to be affected is located at the intersection of Katy Lane, Oak Grove and Business 67.
Work will be done daily from 7 pm to 6 am through Thursday, October 1st.
PAVEMENT REPAIRS SCHEDULED FOR TODAY IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
Route 25 in Dunklin County will be reduced to one lane today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform pavement repairs
Route 25 will be reduced from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm between Russell Street and Blair Street.
