POPLAR BLUFF MAN FOUND GUILTY OF MULTIPLE FELONIES
A Poplar Bluff man will be sentenced in September after a Ripley County jury found him guilty of multiple felonies last week.
According to the Daily American Republic, 42 year old Rodney Joe Green was convicted of numerous charges including first degree assault, first degree robbery, and attempted forcible rape.
The charges stem from multiple incidents in February of 2013.
POLICE INVESTIGATING WEEKEND SHOOTING IN CAPE GIRARDEAU
Authorities in Cape Girardeau are investigating a weekend shooting.
According to Police, two people were shot Saturday night in the area of Benton Street and Bloomfield Road. The victims were each taken to an area hospital.
No one has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting.
REPORTED ARMED ROBBERY LEADS TO ARREST IN KENNETT
Kennett Police say a man was arrested Friday following a reported armed robbery.
Shortly before 4 am Friday, officers were dispatched to an area convenience store. An employee told police that a male had entered the store, pulled out a pistol, and demanded money.
The suspect then fled with an undetermined amount of money.
Officers located Sharun C. Adaway and placed him under arrest for first degree robbery.
TWO ARKANSAS RESIDENTS ARRESTED IN RIPLEY COUNTY ON DRUG CHARGES
Two Arkansas women were taken into custody over the weekend in Ripley County.
According to the Highway Patrol, 54 year old Robin Robinson and 39 year old Amy Lacy were each arrested Saturday afternoon on a charge of possession of controlled substance, marijuana.
Robinson is also facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
MARBLE HILL WOMAN FACING METHAMPHETAMINE CHARGE
A Marble Hill woman is facing a meth charge following her arrest Saturday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 31 year old Jessica Cox was arrested at around 7:30 pm Saturday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Cox is also facing a charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
BUSINESS 60 IN BUTLER COUNTY TO BE REDUCED TODAY FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE
Business 60 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane today and tomorrow as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge maintenance.
The bridge is located between Route B and Old Highway B.
Weather permitting, work will be performed from 7 am to 11 am each day.
BRIDGE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULED FOR TODAY ON ROUTE 67
U.S. 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane early this week so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform bridge maintenance.
Work is scheduled for 7 am to 11 am both today and tomorrow at the bridge is located over the Black River between County Road 401 and Route JJ.
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS CAUSE CLOSURE OF OAK GROVE ROAD
Oak Grove Road in Butler County will be closed beginning today as contractor crews perform intersection improvements.
The work zone is located from Business 67 to Holly Street.
The road is scheduled to re-open on Monday, August 24th.
RIPLEY COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY DUE TO PIPE REPLACEMENT
Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be closing US 160 in Ripley County today to replace a pipe under the roadway.
Due to the replacement, US 160 will be closed from 8 am to 3 pm between County Roads 160W-13 and 160W-15.
