ONE DEAD FOLLOWING HEAD ON COLLISION IN PEMISCOT COUNTY  

A Gideon man is dead following a head on collision in Pemiscot County.

Sergeant Clark Parrott with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the wreck occurred Monday on Route B at around 1 pm.

A vehicle driven by 21 year old Clemis Musgrave allegedly crossed the center line and struck a freightliner head on.

Musgrave was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no injuries reported for the driver of the freightliner.

 

POPLAR BLUFF MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN CONNECTION TO MISSING MAN

 

A Poplar Bluff man has been taken into custody in connection to a missing man case.

According to the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office, 24 year old Eldred Smith was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant out of Butler County.

Smith was wanted in connection to the case of Edward Goodwin, who has been missing since June.

 

PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO BEGIN TODAY IN BUTLER COUNTY

 

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be in Butler County this week for pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 60.

Eastbound U.S. 60 will be reduced to one lane from Route T to Route DD.

Work will be performed Today through Thursday from 7:30 am to 4 pm each day.

 

ONE IN CUSTODY IN KENNETT HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

 

Kennett Police say a man is in custody in an ongoing homicide investigation.

According to the Kennett Police Department, 24 year old Carolletta Hamilton, originally from Caruthersville, was recently found dead at an area residence.

An investigation led to a male from Homestown, Missouri, who was detained as a person of interest.

Investigators are working with Dunklin County Prosecutor Jeff McCormick to seek the filing of formal charges against the suspect for homicide.

The suspect’s name will be released after charges are filed.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE INVESTIGATING GUNSHOTS THAT STRUCK AREA RESIDENCE

 

Poplar Bluff police are investigating a report of gunshots hitting an area residence early Monday morning.

Poplar Bluff Deputy Police Chief Jeff Rolland tells us more:

Rolland says that a group of subjects were inside the home at the time of the incident.

 

BUSINESS 60 IN BUTLER COUNTY TO BE REDUCED THIS WEEK FOR PAVEMENT REPAIRS

 

Westbound Business 60 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane this week so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform pavement repairs.

Westwood Business 60 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 am to 4 pm through Friday between Route NN and Route B.

 

PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD TO DISCUSS BRIDGE PROJECTS IN DUNKLIN COUNTY

 

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be hosting a public meeting today to discuss upcoming bridge projects.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 pm at the Senath-Hornersville Middle School Library.

Four bridge projects in Dunklin County will be discussed at the meeting.

Three of the bridges are located on Route TT over Sand Slough Ditch, Drainage Ditch No. 8 and Belfontain Ditch. The fourth bridge is located on Route P over Buffalo Ditch.
