WILLIAMSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED ON CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FELONY
A Williamsville woman has been taken into custody in Butler County on a felony charge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 36 year old Jana Drennan was arrested at around 4:30 pm Monday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Drennan is also facing a charge of possession of under 10 grams of marijuana. Following the arrest, she was held at the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
TWO PUPPIES REPORTEDLY THROWN FROM VEHICLE IN THE KENNETT AREA
The Kennett Humane Department says that one puppy has been euthanized while another is in critical condition after they were thrown out of the window of a moving vehicle.
According to a post on the Humane Department’s Facebook page, a man travelling on the same road saw the incident happen and took the two dogs to the Kennett Veterinary Clinic.
No information was available about the vehicle that the puppies were in.

TEENAGER FLOWN TO ST. LOUIS HOSPITAL FOLLOWING ATV WRECK NEAR CHAFFEE
A Chaffee teenager has been flown to a St. Louis hospital following an ATV wreck Sunday afternoon.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that the wreck occurred at around 3 pm Sunday near Chaffee. A 17 year old boy was driving an ATV which failed to negotiate a curve, struck a concrete culvert, and overturned, ejecting both the driver and a 16 year old passenger.
The 16 year old girl was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis. The driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
POPLAR BLUFF CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD MEETING TONIGHT
The Poplar Bluff City Council will be holding a meeting tonight at the City Council Chambers.
Some of the items to be discussed include a proposed ordinance amending the Union Contract for the Fire Department as well as a review of a petition for the creation of a Sycamore Street Community Improvement District located on the east side of Poplar Bluff.
The council is also set to vote on multiple items including an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement between the City and MoDot relative to the Poplar Bluff Trails Project and an ordinance authorizing the disposal of antiquated equipment.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 pm tonight.
NEW DAY MINISTRIES TO HOST FEED AND SEED EVENT THIS WEEK

STODDARD COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT
Route OO in Stoddard County will be closed today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can replace a culvert pipe under the roadway.
The work zone will be located between Route 25 and County Road 307.
Weather permitting, work will take place today from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
OVER THREE MONTH LONG PAVEMENT PROJECT TO BEGIN TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY
An over three month long pavement repair project is scheduled to begin today in Stoddard County.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, eastbound Route 60 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane with a 14 foot width restriction from 6 am to 6 pm daily through Thursday, June 1st.
The work zone is located from Route F to County Road 717. The on and off ramps at Route AD, One Mile Road, and Route 25 will also be impacted.
