PERRYVILLE WOMAN FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES FOLLOWING ARREST IN STODDARD COUNTYA Perryville woman is facing multiple charges following her arrest in Stoddard County.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 41 year old Tonya Lang was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Officials say that further charges are pending. Lang remained in jail as of this morning and her bond has been set at $25,000.
PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO BEGIN TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY East and Westbound ramps from Route 60 in Stoddard County will be closed tonight as contractor crews perform pavement repairs.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the two on-ramps from Route 60 to Route 25 east and westbound will be closed.
Weather permitting, work will take place tonight from 6 pm to 6 am.
POPLAR BLUFF STUDENTS TO BE OUT OF SCHOOL ON FRIDAY Students in Poplar Bluff are preparing for a three day weekend.
Poplar Bluff R-1 School District Superintendent Scott Dill tells KWOC News that R-1 schools will not be in session on Friday for a teacher collaboration day.
The regular class schedule is set to resume on Monday, March 20th.
HIGHWAY PATROL TO CONDUCT ENFORCEMENT OPERATION ON ST. PATRICK’S DAY State troopers in Southeast Missouri will be participating in an enforcement operation on St. Patrick’s Day.
Captain Jeffrey Vitale, commanding officer of Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, tells KWOC News that members of Troop E will be conducting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program operation on March 17th.
Vitale says the goal of the operation is to detect hazardous moving, speed, and other violations that contribute to traffic crashes. Troopers will also be aggressively enforcing the seat belt and child restraint laws on all roadways within Troop E.

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Poplar Bluff Board of Education is set to begin tonight at 7 pm.
The meeting will be held in the administrative building.
