SEVERAL FIREARMS STOLEN DURING BURGLARY IN NEW MADRID COUNTY
Several firearms were stolen during a recent burglary in New Madrid County.
According to New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens, five guns were taken during the burglary and he is asking the public to be on the lookout in case someone makes an attempt to sell them.
The firearms stolen were a Browning 22-250 A-bolt rifle, a Winchester .22 cal Model 190 rifle, a Winchester 12 gauge automatic shotgun, a Ruger .22 cal stainless target pistol, and a H&S .22 cal 8-Shot revolver.
Anyone who has information about the burglary or the location of the weapons is asked to contact the New Madrid County Office at 573-748-2516.
POPLAR BLUFF MIDDLE SCHOOL SEEKING PICTURES OF VETERANS FOR UPCOMING CEREMONY
Officials at Poplar Bluff Middle School are looking for pictures of veterans for an upcoming ceremony.
The school will be celebrating Veterans Day with a program on Friday, November 9th.
Anyone who would like a picture included in the ceremony should email the picture, along with the person’s name, branch of service, rank, years served or conflict they served in, and the student’s name and how they are related to LaurenHasanov@pb.k12.mo.us.
Officials are asking that pictures be sent in by November 7th. If you sent in a picture last year, you do not have to submit them again.
REGISTRATION OPENING TODAY FOR WINTER AND SPRING SEMESTERS AT THREE RIVERS COLLEGE
New and returning students will soon have the opportunity to register for classes for the Winter and Spring semesters at Three Rivers College.
Officials say that online and on-site registration for both semesters will begin today. Registration will continue through December 7th for the Winter session and January 11th for the Spring semester at the Poplar Bluff campus as well as the locations in Sikeston, Dexter, Kennett, and Cape Girardeau.
The Winter session will begin on December 10, with the Spring semester starting on January 14th.

AUTHORITIES IN PUXICO TO HOST CHILI AND HOT DOG DINNER AND HAYRIDE THIS FRIDAY
Authorities in Puxico are planning for a special event for a good cause this Friday night.
The Puxico Police and Fire Department will be hosting a chili and hot dog dinner, hay ride and face painting from 6 to 10 pm on November 2nd.

POPLAR BLUFF ROAD TO BE CLOSED BEGINNING TODAY
A Poplar Bluff road is scheduled to be closed beginning today.
According to Poplar Bluff City Officials, Roxie Road will be closed for paving starting today.
Officials say the project should be completed by November 12th; however it could take longer depending on the weather.
PAVEMENT REPAIR PROJECT TO BEGIN TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY
Route 25 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane for part of this week so crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation can perform pavement repairs.
The section of Route 25 to be reduced is located from north Drake Street to David Street in Bernie.
Weather permitting, work will take place today through Wednesday from 8 am to 5 pm daily.
