A Paragould man is one of sixteen people who could be receiving a pardon from Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.
Yesterday Hutchinson announced his intent to grant 16 pardons including one for Steven McCracken, who was convicted in 2003 of misdemeanor domestic battering 3rd degree.
A press release from Hutchinson’s office says the pardon is based on the date of conviction, the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed, and there have been no further criminal-law violations.
There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.
