POPLAR BLUFF MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING KIDNAPPING OF YOUNG CHILD
Authorities in Poplar Bluff have arrested an area man in connection to the alleged kidnapping of a young child.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, on Sunday evening an officer was dispatched to a location on Kinzer Street. At the scene a woman told the officer that her two year old son was playing in the front yard of her residence when 37 year old Jeffrey Moore pulled up and kidnapped him.
Moore was later located with the child at a location in Poplar Bluff and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Butler County Jail on a charge of kidnapping 1st degree.
Police say that this is the third time Moore has taken the child. Moore, who is not the father, has reportedly cared for the child since birth.
CAMPBELL POLICE DEPARTMENT PHONE LINES ARE DOWN
The phones at a Southeast Missouri Police Department were reportedly not working yesterday.
According to a post on the Campbell Police Department Facebook page, the phone lines at the police department went down on Monday.
There have been no updates on if phone service has returned.

OPEN HOUSE TO BE HELD TODAY FOR POPLAR BLUFF EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
Parents of young children in Poplar Bluff will get the opportunity to tour the Poplar Bluff Early Childhood Center today.
The Open House for students in the morning session is scheduled for 8:30 to 9:45 am this morning. For students in the afternoon session, the Open House will be held from 10 to 11:15 am.
The first day for students at the Poplar Bluff Early Childhood Center is Wednesday.
MAN FACING CHARGES FOLLOWING ALLEGED INCIDENT IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS
A man has been taken into custody on multiple charges following an alleged incident over the weekend in Northeast Arkansas.
According to authorities, Emilio Estavon Williams allegedly ran his ex-girlfriend off a road in the Paragould area multiple times and forced her into his vehicle.
He was later found by officers and arrested on charges of aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
DATE SET FOR 17TH ANNUAL 4-PERSON BENEFIT GOLF SCRAMBLE IN DEXTER
A date has been set for the 17th Annual 4-Person Benefit Golf Scramble in Dexter.
The event, held by Bootheel Counseling Services, is scheduled to begin at 1 pm on September 21st at Hidden Trails Country Club.
The cost is $65 per person and will include food, beverages on the course, t-shirts and door prizes. Golf carts will also be available for $30 each and must be requested by September 14th.

FREDERICKTOWN MAN CLAIMS $50,000 POWERBALL PRIZE
A Southeast Missouri man has become a big winner from playing Powerball.
Officials with the Missouri Lottery tell KWOC News that Andrew Clark, of Fredericktown, matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number for the drawing held on August 11th.
Officials say that Clark’s ticket won him $50,000.
