MISSING TEENAGER IN DUNKLIN COUNTY FOUND
Authorities in Southeast Missouri have located a teenager that was reported missing last week.
Officials with the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office said Friday morning that the missing 16 year old girl had been found.
She had last been seen on September 5th in the Malden area. No other details about the incident were released.
WEEKEND EARTHQUAKE SHAKES SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
A weekend earthquake rattled parts of Southeast Missouri.
According to the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 2.7 quake was recorded at 6:10 pm on Saturday.
The earthquake was located around 5.6 miles south southwest of New Madrid and had a depth of almost six miles.
BRIDGE MAINTENANCE PROJECT SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEK IN BUTLER COUNTY
A bridge maintenance project is scheduled to be conducted this week in Butler County.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Southbound Route 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane so crews can perform the maintenance.
Weather permitting, work will take place today through Thursday from 7 am to 4 pm. daily.
The bridge involved is located over the Black River between County Road 401 and Route JJ.
ONE DEAD, THREE INJURED IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS WRECK
A northeast Arkansas man has died from injuries he received in a wreck last week.
According to the Arkansas State Police, on Friday 42 year old Stacy Houston, of Sedgwick, was driving on Highway 63 when his vehicle hydroplaned and crossed over into oncoming traffic.
Houston’s vehicle struck a vehicle and was then hit by another vehicle. Officials say that Houston was killed in the wreck.
Three other people were injured and taken to an area hospital.
HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE SCHEDULED FOR THIS MONTH IN POPLAR BLUFF
A Hunter Education Course has been scheduled for later this month in Poplar Bluff.
The course will be held from 5 to 9 pm on Monday, September 24th, at the Poplar Bluff Junior High School Gym.
Attendees must have completed the knowledge portion of the testing prior to the class. Students must also preregister online at mdc.mo.gov.
PIPE REPLACEMENT TO CAUSE DELAYS TODAY IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
Missouri Department of Transportation crews are in Dunklin County today.
Eastbound Route 412 in Dunklin County is being reduced to one lane so crews can replace a pipe beneath the roadway.
The work zone is located from Route U to Route NN.
Work is scheduled to take place today through 5 pm.
