TWO ARRESTED, TWO OTHERS SOUGHT, IN CONNECTION TO SIKESTON HOMICIDE
Officials say that two men have been taken into custody and another two are still being sought in connection to a homicide last month in Sikeston.
Sergeant Jon Broom with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells KWOC News that 18 year old Reginald Rush, of Sikeston, and 18 year old Donta Depree, of Cape Girardeau, were arrested last week as a part of an investigation into the shooting death of Marcus Price on August 23rd.
Rush and Depree have each been charged with murder 1st, robbery 1st, armed criminal action, and resisting arrest.
Broom says that arrest warrants has also been issued for 19 year old DeShauntay Craig and Tyce Cody, both of Sikeston, on the charges of murder 1st , armed criminal action, and robbery 1st.
Both subjects are being considered armed and dangerous and if you have any information about their location, contact your local law enforcement agency.
POPLAR BLUFF PASTOR TO GIVE PRAYER THIS MORNING BEFORE THE OPEN OF THE MISSOURI HOUSE
A Poplar Bluff pastor will be speaking today at the Missouri Legislature.
Reverend Greg Kirk will be opening the Missouri House of Representatives with a prayer this morning.
Kirk says that he was invited to give the prayer by Speaker of the House Todd Richardson.
POPLAR BLUFF CHEERLEADING KIDDIE CAMP SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONTH
A Poplar Bluff Cheerleading Kiddie Camp for future cheerleaders ages 3 to 6th grade is set for next month.
The camp is scheduled to be held at the Poplar Bluff High School Auxiliary gym on Tuesday, October 2nd from 5 to 6:30 pm, as well as 5 to 6 pm on October 3rd and 4th. Registration will begin at 5 pm on October 2nd.
The cost is $25 per child and will include a T-shirt.
All Kiddie Camp Cheerleaders will then perform at either the Freshman or Junior Varsity football games on Monday, October 8th.
PRESIDENTIAL RALLY IN CAPE GIRARDEAU CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE FLORENCE
President Donald Trump’s Campaign has announced that the President’s rally scheduled for this week in Southeast Missouri has been cancelled.
Michael Glassner, Chief Operating Officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Incorporated says that with Hurricane Florence on the way, they determined that the cancellation was the safest decision.
The rally was going to be held Thursday night at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
SIXTH ANNUAL LIBERTY DAYS EVENT SCHEDULED FOR EARLY OCTOBER
The Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield is hosting it’s 6th annual Liberty Days event in early October.
On Saturday, October 6th, there will be a parade in downtown Bloomfield, beginning at 9 am.
Following the parade, guests will get to come to the Living History military event. There will also be a talent show at 1 pm, a blackpowder shoot throughout the day, weapons demonstrations, skirmishes, bluegrass music, and more.

DUNKLIN COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY AND TOMORROW FOR PAVEMENT REPAIRS
Route K in Dunklin County will be closed both today and tomorrow so crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation can perform pavement repairs.
This section of Route K to be closed is located from Route 164 to the Arkansas state line.
Work is scheduled to take place from 7 am to 4:30 pm both days.
