ARCHERY DEER SEASON TO GET UNDER WAY THIS WEEKEND IN MISSOURI
Missouri hunters will be out starting this weekend for the beginning of deer archery season.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, the season will run from September 15th through November 9th and then from November 21st through January 15th.
The hours will be from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
The Missouri Department of Conservation says that only one antlered deer may be taken before November 11th and you may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined.

OLD GREENVILLE DAYS TO BEGIN TODAY
The 27th Annual Old Greenville Days is set to begin today in Wayne County.
The event will be held at the Greenville Campground Day Use area from today through the 16th. There will be live music all weekend, along with craft and food vendors as well as games and activities.
The Wayne County Bicentennial Committee will also be on hand with historic displays, artifacts, and photos of Wayne County’s early days.
POPLAR BLUFF MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY FLEEING CHARGE
Authorities in Butler County arrested a Poplar Bluff man Thursday on a felony fleeing charge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 27 year old Joseph Chaney was taken into custody yesterday afternoon on a felony charge of resisting arrest by fleeing as well as a felony probation violation.
Chaney also reportedly had a Butler County failure to appear warrant.
Following the arrest, he was held at the Butler County Jail.
MAN KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE WRECK INVOLVING A DEER
An Alton man was killed early this morning in a wreck involving a deer in Oregon County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29 year old Marshall Williams was driving a motorcycle on Route AA when he struck a deer in the roadway and was ejected.
The wreck occurred shortly before 12:30 am.
Williams was reportedly not wearing a safety device and was later pronounced dead by Oregon County Coroner Tom Clary.
WISCONSIN MAN KILLED IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI WRECK
A Wisconsin man has died from injuries he received in a single vehicle wreck Wednesday night in Southeast Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 72 year old Ronald Leonard, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, was driving on Interstate 57 when his vehicle ran off the side of the road and overturned.
Leonard, who was reportedly not wearing a safety device, was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene.
FAFSA FRENZY EVENT SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONTH AT THREE RIVERS COLLEGE
An event has been scheduled for next month to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
FAFSA Frenzy will be held on October 18th from 4 to 6 pm at the Poplar Bluff campus of Three Rivers College.
Officials say the event is part of a statewide effort organized by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and is open to all high school seniors, current college students, and adults interested in attending college.
