CHARGES ISSUED FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION OF DEATH IN ELLSINORE
Charges were filed against a man following an investigation into a death in Ellsinore.
According to officials with the Ellsinore Police Department, 27 year old Dakota Taylor has been charged with domestic assault – 1st degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.
Authorities responded to a call on December 10th, which led to finding 58 year old Kathryn Hall with serious physical injuries from an assault, which she died from after being transported to a hospital.
Taylor is facing more charges as the investigation of Hall’s death continues, and anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to call either the Ellsinore Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, or Carter County Sheriff’s Office.
MULTIPLE ARRESTED IN BUTLER COUNTY ON SEVERAL DRUG CHARGES
Multiple people were arrested in Butler County on Saturday on several drug charges.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 41 year old Timothy Hendrix, 38 year old Timothy Lipsey, and 28 year old Karissa Reed, all of Poplar Bluff, were all arrested on felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hendrix was also charged on felony possession of a controlled substance – 27 pills of Tramadol.
They were all transported to the Butler County Jail following their arrests.
SERIOUS INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY
Serious injuries were reported on Saturday following a vehicle collision in Butler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on US 60 near Fisk, where a vehicle failed to yield and struck another vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle received serious injuries, and was transported to a hospital in St. Louis following the crash.
REWARD ISSUED FOR RETURN OF ENDANGERED CARUTHERSVILLE WOMAN
Updating a story we brought to you previously, a reward has been offered for the return of an endangered woman from Caruthersville.
The missing person is 36 year old Michele Bell, who was reported to have a mental breakdown before leaving the city of Caruthersville on December 8th. She is 5’4, 105 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes, and was wearing a pink shirt and leggings when she left the city.
Her vehicle was reported being found near Joiner, Ark. On December 9th, on an exit ramp of Interstate 55.

CITY OF POPLAR BLUFF HOLDING PUBLIC MEETING TODAY
The city of Poplar Bluff will be having a public meeting today.
The meeting will be a public hearing, which will discuss the restoration of the roof at the Rodgers Theatre.
There will be another meeting which will discuss the transfer of funds related to the health insurance deficit, rezoning of property at 462 North Main Street, board composition for the residential housing advisory board, and the review and approval of the 2020 budget for the city and its utilities.
The initial meeting will be held at 6:45 pm at the city council chambers in the Black River Coliseum, with the following meeting being held at 7 pm.
EAST PRAIRIE MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG AND FIREARM CHARGES
An East Prairie man was arrested on Friday on drug and firearm charges.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that 34 year old Bryan Cook, of East Prairie, was arrested on two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts unlawful use of a firearm.
He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the New Madrid County Jail following his arrest.
