SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING SHOOTING IN PARAGOULD
Updating a story we brought to you yesterday, two suspects are in custody in connection to a shooting in Northeast Arkansas.
According to the Paragould Police Department, officers located one victim at the scene of a shooting Friday night. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
The Paragould Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, Street Crimes Unit, and patrol worked through the weekend leading to two individuals being taken into custody. Probable cause hearings were scheduled yesterday for both individuals.
Officials say that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
PAVING TO CAUSE ROAD CLOSURE TODAY IN DEXTER
Dexter officials are warning area motorists that a portion of One Mile Road will be closed today.
According to the Dexter Police Department, One Mile Road will be closed from 8:30 am to 4 pm today between Susan and Arvin Roads.
Motorists are being asked to use alternate routes until the paving has been completed.
CONTRACT AWARDED FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT IN STODDARD COUNTY
A contract has been awarded for multiple bridge replacements in Southeast Missouri.
According to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission an over 1.2 million dollar contract was awarded earlier this month which will include the replacement of a bridge over Spring Creek on Route DD in Stoddard County.
The contract also includes replacing a bridge over North Cut Ditch in Scott County.
Additional information, including a timeline and possible impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.
HYDRO ADVENTURES WATER PARK TO OPEN FOR THE SEASON THIS WEEKEND
Summer water fun will return to Poplar Bluff this weekend with the opening of the Hydro Adventures waterpark.
The waterpark will be opening for the 2019 season at 11 am on Saturday, May 18th.
Water park attractions will be open including the Twisted Six mega thrill slide, Poseidon’s Pipeline waterslide, and the Easy River.
The outdoor fun park attractions, including miniature golf, go karts, and the new bounce pad will be open as well along with the indoor laser tag and arcade.

ROAD PROJECT TO CAUSE CLOSURE OF STODDARD COUNTY ROAD
Route FF in Stoddard County will be closed today and tomorrow as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pull paving.
MoDOT officials tell KWOC News that the section of Route FF to be closed is located from Route 60 to Route E.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take place from 7:30 am to 4 pm each day.
POPLAR BLUFF CHOIR CONCERT SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT
Poplar Bluff students will be hosting a choir concert tonight at an area church.
The Poplar Bluff High School Choraliers and the Concert Choir will perform tonight beginning at 7 pm at First United Methodist Church.
Officials say the music program will contain a lunar theme including an arrangement of Billy Joel's "The Longest Time."
