ESCAPED INMATE OUT OF IRON COUNTY FOUND AND ARRESTED IN NEW MEXICO
One of the three inmates who escaped from Ironton Jail was captured in New Mexico.
According to the Iron County Sheriff’s Department, 57 year old Tracy Brown, as well as his girlfriend Diana Thomas, were found and taken into custody in Carrizozo, New Mexico, after being seen at a gas station.
Authorities are still searching for the other two suspects, 36 year old Dwight Abernathie and 35 year old Samual Gillam.
Abernathie is a 6’1, 175 lbs white male, with blue eyes and red hair. Gilliam is a 5’6, 160 lbs white male with blue eyes and brown hair. Pictures of them are available on the Ironton Police Department’s Facebook page.
They are considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for any information on their whereabouts.

COVID-19 VACCINATION EVENT BEING HOSTED IN POPLAR BLUFF TODAY
The Missouri National Guard will be hosting a coronavirus vaccination event today at the Hydro Adventures Park.
Anyone who has registered online will be guaranteed a vaccination, and can arrive anytime between 9 am and 4 pm. If you have not yet been registered, you will not be allowed through the line.
To help the process move quickly, you can visit CovidVaccine.Mo.Gov to print and fill out papers you will need to receive a vaccination.
The clinic is only available to those who registered ahead of time. Those who receive a vaccine today will receive their second dose at the same location on February 12th.
TWO MEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN STODDARD COUNTY ON ASSAULT
Two men were arrested in Stoddard County on Thursday on assault warrants.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 54 year old Lonnie Robbins, of Dexter, and 26 year old Nathaniel Thurston, of Bernie, were booked on a Stoddard County Warrant for 3rd degree domestic assault.
Following their arrests, they were both transported to the Stoddard County Jail.
TWO DRIVERS INJURED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY
Two drivers were injured in a vehicle crash in Butler County on Thursday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at 1:55 PM on Highway N, south of Qulin. The crash occurred when a vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and struck another oncoming car head-on.
Both the first driver, 48 year old Steven Rick, of Qulin, and the driver of the struck vehicle, 65 year old Clyde Beecher, of Grant, Arkansas, suffered moderate injuries from the crash.
They were both transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.
FARMINGTON MAN ARRESTED IN WAYNE COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES
A Farmington man was taken into custody in Wayne County on Thursday on drug possession charges.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, 27 year old Cole Sansoucie was charged with possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Wayne County Jail following his arrest.
ROADWAY CLOSED IN NEW MADRID COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE
A roadway will be closed in New Madrid County for maintenance.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of Route WW, between Route P and County Road 204, will be closed while MODOT crews replace a culvert underneath the roadway.
The work will take place from Monday through Tuesday, from 8 am to 3 pm daily.
