DONIPHAN WOMAN KILLED IN RIPLEY COUNTY WRECK
A Doniphan woman has died following a wreck Friday morning in Ripley County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 50 year old Andrea Hawks was driving on Route C, near Handy, when her vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Hawks was pronounced dead at the scene by Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson.
VEHICLE STRIKES BUILDING IN KENNETT, ONE DEAD
One person has died after a vehicle struck a building last week in Kennett.
According to authorities, the vehicle collided with a business on First Street at around 11 am Friday.
The driver of the vehicle, 53 year old Darrell Goss, of Kennett, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell.
MALDEN MAN ARRESTED ON FIREARM CHARGE
Authorities in Stoddard County have arrested a Malden man on a firearm charge.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 43 year old Ronnie McClain was recently booked on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and delivery of drug paraphernalia.
McClain’s bond was set at $25,000, cash only.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TO BE HELD SATURDAY AT LAKE WAPPAPELLO
You have an opportunity to watch a beautiful display of fireworks over Lake Wappapello this weekend.
The free fireworks display will begin at dusk this Saturday.
The event is being held by the Wappapello Lake Area Association and the Wappapello Lake US Army Corps of Engineers.
REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR BUTLER COUNTY FALL LEAGUE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL
Parents have less than a month left to get their children registered for fall league baseball and softball in Butler County.
According to the Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation Department, registration for boys ages 3 to 14 and girls ages 3 to 12 will be available through July 23rd.

MULTI WEEK PAVEMENT REPAIR PROJECT TO BEGIN TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY
Route D in Stoddard County will be reduced over much of the next two weeks as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
According to officials, the section of Route D to be reduced is located from Route 25 to Route 153.
Weather permitting, work will take place today through Thursday, July 8th from 7 am to 4:30 pm, daily.
