POPLAR BLUFF MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT THIS WEEK ON ARSON CHARGE

A Poplar Bluff man is scheduled to appear in court this week on an arson charge.

According to Missouri Case Net, Nathan Dewayne Montgomery was served a warrant Monday on a charge of 1st degree arson.

The charge stems from an incident in late April. No bond was set and Montgomery’s initial arraignment has been scheduled for Thursday morning in Butler County. 

WOMAN ARRESTED IN NEW MADRID COUNTY ON ASSAULT, FIREARM, AND DRUG CHARGES

Authorities in New Madrid County have arrested an area woman on multiple felony charges.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 31 year old Alexandra Trapp, of Sikeston, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on felony charges of assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Following the arrest, Trapp was transported to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety. 

FIREWORKS DISPLAY TO BEGIN SUNDAY NIGHT IN DEXTER

A Stoddard County city will be lighting up the sky Sunday night for the 4th of July.

The City of Dexter has announced that their fireworks show will begin at 9 pm Sunday night.

The fireworks will be at the East City Park. 

DONIPHAN WOMAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON METH CHARGE

A Doniphan woman was taken into custody Tuesday evening on a felony drug charge.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 43 year old Mindy Lowery was arrested shortly before 8 pm Tuesday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance -  methamphetamine. 

Following the arrest, Lowery was held at the Ripley County Jail. 

SURFACE IMPROVEMENTS TO BE DONE TODAY IN WAYNE COUNTY

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be making driving surface improvements today on Route 143 in Wayne County.

The section of roadway to be affected is located from Big Creek Bridge, just north of Sam A. Baker Park to the Iron County line.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 am to 1 pm. During the project, the road will be open to local traffic only.

 

PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO CAUSE DELAYS TODAY IN NEW MADRID COUNTY

Route 62 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

The work zone will be located from Route 153 to County Road 343.

Weather permitting, work will take place today from 8 am to 11 am.
