WARRANT ARREST LEADS TO DRUG BUST IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS
A simple warrant arrest led to a large drug bust this week in Northeast Arkansas.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 3 pm on Monday, Clay County deputies, working in conjunction with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, located Joseph March at a residence in Datto.
Deputies arrested March, who was wanted for warrants out of Randolph County, in the front yard of the residence.
Deputies then conducted a search of the residence and located a large amount of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, several items of drug paraphernalia, baggies, and digital scales.
Four subjects who were inside the residence were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to inject, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor 2nd degree.
The subjects were identified as Stephanie Leonard, Eva Leonard, Andrew Millward, and Shawn Walters.
CERTAIN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED MISSOURI RESIDENTS CAN NOW RECEIVE THIRD DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has announced that certain immunocompromised individuals can begin receiving third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Missouri.
Officials say that a third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines may be administered to moderately to severely immunocompromised people due to a medical condition or combination of immunosuppressive medication or treatments.
Individuals will not be required to provide documentation of their health status and they can get third doses at all venues where first and second doses are available.

THREE RIVERS SHRINE RODEO COMING TO POPLAR BLUFF IN SEPTEMBER
The Three Rivers Shrine Pro Rodeo is set for early September in Poplar Bluff.
The event will begin at 7pm both Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th at the Black River Coliseum.
A ticket for Saturday will also allow entry to the Mini Buckers Matinee Show at 2 pm on September 11th.
Tickets can be purchased at the Black River Coliseum box office or at ticketmaster.com. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Three Rivers Shrine Club.
STODDARD COUNTY FAIR SET FOR LATE SEPTEMBER
The schedule has been announced for the 2021 Stoddard County Fair.
The fair will kick-off with the parade in downtown Dexter on Tuesday, September 21st at 5:30 pm.
There will be multiple nights of entertainment and events including performances by Maggie Thorn and the Assembly Youth Church Service.
A few events will precede the official start of the fair this year, including the fair pageants on Sunday, September 19th.

NEW MADRID COUNTY MAN FACING MULTIPLE FELONY CHARGES FOLLOWING ARREST
A New Madrid County man is facing multiple felony charges following his arrest Tuesday night in Dunklin County.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that 29 year old Travis Copeland, of Tallapoosa, was taken into custody on felony charges of 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
Copeland was also arrested for multiple misdemeanor charges including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended.
