LINE UP LOCATION CHANGED FOR RIVER RADIO LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE
The line up location has been changed for the upcoming River Radio Lighted Christmas Parade.
Line up will begin at 4:30 pm on Friday, December 1st at the Sky High Indoor Park parking lot, which used to be the location of Hydro Adventures.
The parade will begin at 6 pm and run from Highway 53, north along Ditch Road, then east on Vine Street, before circling back on Main Street.
Entries for the parade are being accepted through November 25th. You can pick up an entry form at River Radio in Poplar Bluff as well as on our website.
Special thanks go out to Three Rivers College and Sky High Indoor Park for the usage of the parking lot during line up.
20TH ANNUAL SANTA LAND EVENT TO BE HELD NEXT MONTH IN POPLAR BLUFF
The 20th Annual Santa Land event has been scheduled for next month in Poplar Bluff.
According to Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation, the event will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at the Black River Coliseum. The portion for individuals with special needs will begin at 5:30 pm.
During the event, children will get to visit with Santa and participate in many fun holiday activities. Registration is required and there are limited time slots available.

REGISTRATION FOR WINTER AND SPRING CLASSES IS UNDERWAY AT THREE RIVERS COLLEGE
There is still time to get registered for Winter and Spring classes at Three Rivers College.
Registration is open for Winter classes through December 15th and for Spring classes through January 12th.
TRC is also accepting applications for their LPN program through November 27th, as well as their Sikeston RN Bridge program, Behavioral Health Support program, and new Surgical Technology program through December 1st.

WHEATLEY HISTORICAL PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION TO HOST CHRISTMAS DINNER
A local organization will be hosting a fundraising Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 9th.
The Wheatley Historical Preservation Association Christmas Dinner will begin at 5:30 pm at 921 Garfield Street in Poplar Bluff. A Social Hour will start at 5 pm.
The theme for this year’s fundraiser is “This Christmas,” and there is also entertainment planned in addition to the meal.

2023 EGGNOG JOG 5K SET FOR DECEMBER 9TH
Registration is underway for the 2023 Eggnog Jog 5k in Poplar Bluff.
The race will begin at 10 am on Saturday, December 9th at McLane Park. Registration will start at 8 am.

POPLAR BLUFF STUDENTS HELP MAKE A BED FOR A CHILD IN NEED
Poplar Bluff students recently assisted an area charity in giving a child in need a good night sleep.
Poplar Bluff Seventh Graders helped construct a bed with the help of officials with the charity Sleep in Heavenly Peace earlier this month.
Co-Founder Dave Elledge says that through the charity, 552 beds have been delivered to children between the ages of 3 and 17. The kids have been located in the greater Poplar Bluff region, as well as Doniphan, and Dexter.
