MISSOURI GOVERNOR ATTENDING EVENT IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI THIS MORNING
Missouri Governor Mike Parson is in attendance at an event in Southeast Missouri this morning.
Governor Parson is meeting with area people at the Fisher Delta Research Appreciation Breakfast in Portageville.
Last night, Parson was in Caruthersville for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the New Day Recovery Center with former State Senator Doug Libla and also attended the Fisher Delta Research Appreciation Dinner in Gobler.
FREE MEDICAL CLINIC TO BE OFFERED IN POPLAR BLUFF
A free medical clinic will be offered in Poplar Bluff next month.
Footsteps Medical Missions will be presenting the clinic from 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday, September 9th at the Black River Coliseum.
Services provided will include medical services, diabetic foot care, hair care, wound care, cardiology, and more.

THREE RIVERS COLLEGE TO HOST MEET THE RAIDERS EVENT
The Three Rivers College athletic season is fast approaching and area residents will have the opportunity to meet some of the players who will be representing the Raiders this year.
The college is hosting a “Meet the Raiders” event beginning at 6 pm on September 11th at the Libla Family Sports Complex.
The event will showcase the players and coaches for the Raiders basketball and baseball teams, the Lady Raiders basketball and softball teams, the rodeo team, the Esports team, and the cheer team.
DATE ANNOUNCED FOR 2023 FISK FALL FESTIVAL
The Fisk community will be coming together for their annual fall festival in October.
The 2023 Fisk Fall Festival will begin at 9 am on Saturday, October 14th at the Fisk Park and Pavilion.
There will be a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, food, and a parade.

POPLAR BLUFF CHURCH TO HOST RECOVERYFEST 2023
A Poplar Bluff church will be hosting an event in early September.
Recoveryfest 2023, has been scheduled for 11 am to 3:30 pm on September 9th at the Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff.
Officials say that there will be live performances, worship, free food, door prizes, games, and a live auction.

STODDARD COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY
Route BB in Stoddard County will be closed today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
The work zone is located from Route C to Route K near Advance.
Weather permitting, work will take place today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
