TWO INJURED IN WAYNE COUNTY SHOOTING, SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
A suspect is in custody following a shooting Tuesday evening in Wayne County.
Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch tells KWOC News that officers were called to the scene of a shooting at approximately 5:45 pm.
Two people were injured as a result of the shooting and one suspect has been taken into custody.
The names of the victims and suspect have not been released.

INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST OF DONIPHAN WOMAN
A warrant was served earlier this week on a Doniphan woman in connection to a burglary investigation.
According to a probable cause affidavit, on September 24th, an officer with the Doniphan Police Department made contact with a subject, who advised that a white female had entered their home with a shotgun.
The officer was able to obtain video from a home security system of the incident. The officer later identified the woman as 38 year old Sara McFall and made contact with her.
When speaking with McFall, the officer said she appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
A warrant was served for McFall on Monday, charging her with burglary 1st degree, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
She was booked into the Ripley County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
MEETINGS TO BE HELD THIS MONTH TO DISCUSS DONIPHAN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
A series of meetings will be held this month to discuss the city of Doniphan’s Comprehensive Plan.
The meetings have been scheduled for 6 pm on October 3rd and October 8th, as well as noon on October 9th at Doniphan City Hall. The meetings will be open to the public.
Doniphan city officials have sent out a survey to area residents to get feedback on city related topics. The upcoming meetings will each last approximately an hour and feature information about the current state of the community and results from the survey.

ALABAMA WOMAN KILLED IN SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS
An Alabama woman has died from injuries she received Monday in a single vehicle crash in Northeast Arkansas.
According to the Arkansas State Police, 65 year old Cynthia Hood, of Addison, Alabama, was driving on US Highway 67 in Walnut Ridge, when her vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway into a ditch, and then struck a telephone pole.
Officials say that Hood was the only person involved in the crash, which occurred at around 11:30 am Monday.
DUNKLIN COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED THROUGH MID DECEMBER FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Route J in Dunklin County will be closed through the middle of December so contractor crews can replace a bridge.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the bridge is located between County Roads 215 and 219 near Malden.
Weather permitting, completion is anticipated by Sunday, December 15. The road will remain closed as work is underway, and motorists should seek alternate routes.
PAVEMENT REPAIRS SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEK IN NEW MADRID COUNTY
Route P in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
The section of roadway being reduced is located from County Road 711 to County Road 727.
Weather permitting, work will take place today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., each day.
