HARRIS AND TRUMP ENTER FINAL DAY OF CAMPAIGN

We are on the final day of the campaign for the White House.

Tomorrow will see voters decide between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris on who should become President of the United States of America.

In Missouri, the race for the United States Senate will see Josh Hawley facing off against challenger Lucas Kunce.

For the US House of Representatives seat in Southeast Missouri, Jason Smith will battle Randi McCallian. In Northeast Arkansas, Rodney Govens is challenging Rick Crawford for a spot in the US House of Representatives.

MISSOURI PROPOSITION A WOULD RAISE STATE MINIMUM WAGE

Missouri voters will decide tomorrow on if the minimum wage should be raised in the state.

Missouri Proposition A would amend Missouri statutes to increase the state minimum wage beginning January 1, 2025 to $13.75 per hour and increase the hourly rate $1.25, to $15.00 per hour beginning January 2026.

Annually the minimum wage will be adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index. The law will require employers with fifteen or more employees to provide one hour of paid sick leave for every thirty hours worked. The amendment will exempt governmental entities, political subdivisions, school districts, and education institutions from the minimum wage increase.

In Arkansas, a medical marijuana issue will appear on voters ballots, but will not actually be counted. The Arkansas Supreme Court ruled the measure didn’t fully explain what it would do, tossing out the initiative just two weeks before the election.

It was too late to remove the measure from the ballot so the court has ordered election officials not to count any votes cast on it.

The proposed constitutional amendment would have broadened the definition of medical professionals who can certify patients for medical cannabis, expanded qualifying conditions and made medical cannabis cards valid for three years.
