TWO INJURED, ONE SERIOUSLY, IN CARTER COUNTY CRASH
Two people were injured Wednesday evening in a two vehicle crash near Ellsinore.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 39 year old male from Blodgett was cresting over a hill on US Highway 60 when he struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him. The second vehicle then ran off the roadway.
The man suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
A 12 year old passenger in the second vehicle received minor injuries.
THREE RIVERS COLLEGE TO HOST 3RD ANNUAL SALUTE TO AG DINNER
The 3rd Annual Salute to Ag Dinner is set for Friday, February 7th.
Three Rivers College will host the event beginning at 6 pm at the Westwood Event Center in Poplar Bluff.
The Salute to Ag Dinner is a celebration of farmers, ranchers, families, and industry leaders in Southeast Missouri.
All proceeds will benefit the Three Rivers Aggies Club.

STONER REELECTED TO THE BUTLER COUNTY UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI EXTENSION COUNCIL, TO BE JOINED BY NEWCOMERS MCCORMICK, PARSONS, AND REYNOLDS
There will be three new faces on the University of Missouri Butler County Extension Council.
Incumbent Toni Stoner was reelected to a two year term on the council and will be joined by newcomers Terri McCormick, Tabitha Parsons, and Corey Reynolds.
Voting was held at the Butler County Extension Office and on the Extension website.
ILLINOIS WOMAN SENTENCED TO A DECADE IN PRISON IN CONNECTION TO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI DRUG CHARGE
An Illinois woman will spend the next decade in prison in connection to a Southeast Missouri drug charge.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, 49 year old Georgia R. Phillips, of East St. Louis, Illinois, has been sentenced to serve 10 years in federal prison for the offense of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base.
Phillips was pulled over for a traffic violation on Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County last May. During the stop, officers discovered large quantities of controlled substances in her vehicle, including approximately four ounces of crack cocaine.
After being placed under arrest, Phillips admitted she was traveling from East St. Louis to deliver the controlled substances to an individual in Hayti.
After serving the 10-year sentence, Phillips will be placed on a 3-year term of supervised release.
ALMOST MONTH LONG ROAD PROJECT UNDERWAY NEAR DEXTER
Route F in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane for almost a month as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform drainage repairs.
The project will be located from Route 60 to County Road 462 near Dexter.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday, February 28th.
SHOULDER WORK TO CAUSE DELAYS OVER THE NEXT WEEK IN NEW MADRID COUNTY
Route 62 in New Madrid County will be reduced over the next week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform shoulder work.
The work zone will be located between Route W and Route 153.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday, February 7.
