UNOCCUPIED PLANE FLIPPED AT POPLAR BLUFF AIRPORT

A small plane was flipped by a larger aircraft Thursday morning at the Poplar Bluff airport.

Airport Manager Gary Pride tells KWOC News that at around 11 am a twin engine aircraft was doing engine checks and that combined with wind gusts caused the smaller plane to lift into the air and flip over.

Pride said the smaller plane, who shared a pilot with the bigger aircraft, was parked too close and described it as a simple case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The smaller plane was unoccupied at the time of the incident and no one was injured.
