FREE MEDICAL CLINIC TO BE OFFERED IN KENNETT 

A free medical clinic will be offered in Kennett next month. 

Footsteps Medical Missions and FCC Behavioral Health will be presenting the clinic from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 5th at the Methodist Church on College Avenue in Kennett. 

Services provided will include general health screenings, blood pressure and diabetes checks, vision and hearing exams, and more. 

If you want to attend, you are encouraged to pre-register at FootstepsMedicalMissions.org. Walk-ins will also be welcome.


MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH NEAR FISK 

A man was badly injured in a single vehicle crash Sunday morning. 

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that a 34 year old man from Puxico was travelling on Highway 51, five miles north of Fisk when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. 

The man suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital.


CULVERT REPLACEMENTS SET FOR THIS WEEK IN CARTER COUNTY

Route C in Carter County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace several culverts under the roadway.  

The section of roadway being reduced is located between U.S. Route 60 and Route F near Van Buren. 

Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and tomorrow. 


OPENING DATE SET FOR WAPPAPELLO LAKE BEACHES 

The date has been set for when Southeast Missouri residents can return to some of our great beaches. 

According to officials, all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers beaches at Wappapello Lake will open on April 25th. 

Anyone who heads to the beach is being asked to always wear your life jacket when you are in, near, or around water.


JOG YOUR MEMORY 5K SET FOR MARCH 29TH 

Runners can get signed up for the Jog Your Memory 5k this weekend. 

The event is scheduled for 10 am on March 29th at McLane Park. 

The cost to register is $30 and runners can get signed up at pbparks.recdesk.com.

CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY NEAR LILBOURN 

Route E in New Madrid County will be closed this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.  

The work zone is located from Route W to Route D near Lilbourn. 

Weather permitting, work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Friday, March 28.
