HEROIN, COCAINE, AND A FIREARM FOUND DURING SEARCH OF SIKESTON RESIDENCE

Two people were taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant last week at a Sikeston residence.

Captain James McMillen with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells KWOC News that a search warrant was obtained on September 8th as a part of an ongoing drug investigation.

The warrant was served at a residence that night and officers found nearly $4,000 in cash, 3.4 grams of heroin, 2.2 grams of cocaine, 30 Xanax pills, other drug paraphernalia, and a .45 caliber pistol.

Two subjects in the home, Dionne Booker Wingo and Lester Wingo, were taken into custody for criminal arrest warrants unrelated to the search warrant.

Dionne Wingo was subsequently charged with three counts of possession/distribution of a controlled substance.

 

 

PARMA MAN ARRESTED ON SEVERAL FELONY WARRANTS

A Parma man is facing multiple charges following his arrest last week in Stoddard County.

Sgt. Clark Parrott with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 21 year old Daniel Passley was arrested Saturday on felony warrants of 1st Degree Statutory Rape, 1st Degree Statutory Sodomy, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Passley remains in the Stoddard County Jail on $75,000 cash only bond.

 

 

POPLAR BLUFF WOMAN ARRESTED ON METH CHARGE IN BUTLER COUNTY

A Poplar Bluff woman is facing multiple drug related charges following her arrest last week in Butler County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 39 year old Stacy Cole was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Cole is also charged with possession of a controlled substance – marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

 

 

BENEFIT TO BE HELD IN BERNIE FOR BOY WITH PRUNE BELLY SYNDROME

A benefit will be held later this month for a young boy with Prune Belly Syndrome.

The benefit will be held for five year old Ryan Ferraresi at the Main Street Bar and Grill in Bernie on September 26th.

Prune Belly Syndrome is a rare disorder where the abdominal muscles can be completely missing and Ryan and his mother have to make frequent trips to St. Louis for his treatment.

There will be a Poker Run, a cornhole tournament, and multiple bands appearing at the benefit. Bikes for the poker run should be in by 11 am on the 26th.

 

 

SHOWS ANNOUNCED FOR NEW CENTER STAGE SEASON

The acts have been announced for the 2015-2016 Center Stage season at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff.

The season will open with performances of “Joesph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in November.

2016 will bring performances of “Tuesday’s with Morrie,” “Wait Until Dark,” “The Diviners,” and “The Boys Next Door” to Poplar Bluff.

Center Stage is Three Rivers College’s blended community/student theater company. Auditions will be open to both Three Rivers students and community members.
