QULIN MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG WARRANT
A Qulin man was arrested Thursday evening on a drug warrant.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 39 year old Randy Smith was arrested at 6:40 pm in Butler County on a felony Clay County, Arkansas, warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Smith was taken to the Butler County Justice Center following the arrest.
WAYNE COUNTY AUTHORITIES SEARCHING FOR SEX OFFENDER
Authorities in Wayne County are searching for a sex offender.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, they are trying to locate Mark Eugene Duncan.
Duncan is a sex offender who has failed to register and also has an active warrant out of Wayne County. His last known location was in the Wappapello area.

STUDENTS ACROSS SOUTHEAST MISSOURI PARTICIPATE IN GREAT CENTRAL US SHAKEOUT
Students across Southeast Missouri, including Poplar Bluff, participated in the Great Central U.S. Shakeout drill on Thursday.
During the drill the students practiced on what they need to do when an earthquake hits.
The drill covered the "Drop, Cover and Hold On" protocol, which had students drop to the ground, take cover by getting under a desk or table, and hold on.

NAME RELEASED OF MAN ARRESTED IN KENNETT HOMICIDE CASE
Updating a story we brought to you earlier this week, authorities in Kennett have released the name of a suspect arrested in a homicide case.
36 year old Crowin King, of Homestown, is facing a 1st degree murder charge in the death of 24 year old Carolletta Hamilton, of Caruthersville.
According to the Kennett Police Department, Hamilton was recently found dead at an area residence. King was taken into custody following an investigation.
PARADE HIGHLIGHTS 2015 BROSELEY HOMECOMING
Multiple events, including the annual parade, are planned for the 2015 Broseley homecoming this weekend.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 9 am Saturday, with participants lining up beginning at 8 am at Twin Rivers High School.
Prior to the parade, the Broseley Senior Community Center will be hosting breakfast starting at 6 am. A fish fry will also be held following the parade.
