According to Missouri Case Net, 76 year old Arlen Jones is facing three counts each of 1st degree child molestation, statutory sodomy, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities in Mississippi County say there are multiple victims who are under the age of six in connection to the charges.
VAN BUREN WOMAN FACING METH AND MARIJUANA CHARGES Authorities say a Van Buren woman is facing multiple drug charges following her arrest in Carter County.
According to the Highway Patrol, 36 year old Hannah Hart was arrested at around 1 pm Tuesday on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine.
Hart is also charged with possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
DEXTER AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THEFT AT CITY PARK A mirror was reportedly stolen from a city park in Dexter.
According to authorities the theft from a bathroom at East City Park was reported Monday afternoon.
Dexter police are investigating the report.
KENNETT MAN FACING CHARGES OF FLEEING AND TAMPERING WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE A Tuesday morning arrest in Dunklin County has resulted in multiple felony charges against a Kennett man.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29 year old David West is charged with felony resisting arrest by fleeing and 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
West is also facing charges of driving while intoxicated – drugs and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
JONESBORO MAN ADMITS TO PART IN 17 BREAK INS IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS A Jonesboro man has reportedly confessed to his part in numerous break ins in Northeast Arkansas.
Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller tells KWOC News that deputies initiated a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon on a vehicle driven by 35 year old Anthony Cline. During the stop, the deputy found 12 hydrocodone pills.
During a later interview, Cline confessed to 17 break ins that had occurred in Clay and Greene Counties. Miller says that Cline is being held in the Clay County Detention Center awaiting a probable cause hearing.
SIKESTON RESIDENT ARRESTED ON DRUG WARRANT A Sikeston resident has been arrested in Stoddard County on a drug warrant.
Officials with the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department tell KWOC News that 45 year old Tony Lynn Burnett was recently arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Burnett’s bond was set at $12,500.
POPLAR BLUFF JUNIOR BETA STUDENTS EARN SPOT IN NATIONAL COMPETITION Multiple Poplar Bluff Middle School Junior Beta Students have earned the opportunity to compete at the national convention next summer in New Orleans.
Lucas Robertson placed first in spelling and Sidonia White placed third in social studies at the 13th annual Missouri Junior Beta state convention held last week at the Black River Coliseum.
In addition, Lily Johnson, Nathan Mays, Clara Rahlmann and River Rowland, with alternates Daine Dugas and Landen Maurer, placed first in written response and second overall in the Quiz Bowl Division 1 competition.
Officials say that this year’s convention had a record attendance with 2,600 students.
