SEVEN ARRESTED IN POPLAR BLUFF FOLLOWING DRUG RELATED CHARGES
There were seven arrested in Poplar Bluff on Wednesday after officers began serving arrest warrants on drug distribution and trafficking offenses.
Four of the suspects were arrested on federal indictments, and three were arrested on state indictments stated by a Butler County grand jury.
61 year old Marvin Price, 38 year old Amber Wrinkle, 27 year old Jaleel Gipson, 26 year old Toriona Dudley, 26 year old Trevin Eason, 23 year old Freeman Williams Jr., of Poplar Bluff, and 23 year old Jaquan Whitfield, of St. Loius, were all arrested on varying counts of distribution of heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.
AREA MAN INJURED IN VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY
An area man was injured on Wednesday following a vehicle crash in Butler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the rear of another car on US Route 60, veering off to the right side of the road and hitting a traffic barrier, causing 30 feet of damage to the fence.
The driver, a Poplar Bluff resident, received serious injuries after the crash, and was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital following the accident.
GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF LIEUTENANT TERMINATED AFTER FEDERAL INDICTMENT
A Greene County Sheriff Lieutenant has been terminated from his position after a federal indictment.
Greene County Sheriff Steve Franks tells KWOC News that former Lieutenant Scott Pillow was terminated from his position after being faced with charges of theft of government funds.
Pillow was a former Arkansas State trooper, was suspended for 5 days in 2018 after an excessive force complaint, and was demoted in 2014 for failing to perform his work in a professional manner.
DONIPHAN MAN SENTENCED TO OVER FIVE YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON
A Doniphan man was sentenced to over five years in federal prison on Wednesday for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Officials with Ripley County report that 28 year old Terrance Malkowski, of Doniphan, was sentenced to 64 months for felony possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Malkowski had previously been reported on shooting a vehicle as it drove past his home, and a second-degree assault charge in Ripley County that prohibited him from possessing firearms.
MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL PERFORMING SNOW DRILL TODAY
The Missouri State Highway Patrol will be performing their annual winter operations drill today.
According to the Patrol, MoDOT crews will be out in abundance for their drill, and will be running snow routes throughout the day. Officials ask for drivers to keep an eye out for them, and to make room on the roadway.

PARAGOULD POLICE ASKING PUBLIC FOR HELP IN STRING OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF REPORTS
The Paragould Police Department is asking the public for assistance in stopping a string of vandalism in multiple areas.
Officials with Paragould Police tell KWOC News that the reports involve random acts of vandalism to buildings and vehicles, and that the suspects appear to be mobile. They appear to target vehicles at random, and usually commit the offenses during the overnight hours.
Paragould Police are asking for anyone who are living in the affected areas with camera systems to review their footage for anything that could help with finding the suspects. Any information should be given to the Paragould Police Criminal Division at 870-236-2913.
