3 DEATHS REPORTED FROM DROWNING FOLLOWING FLOOD IN BOLLINGER COUNTY
Three deaths were reported after a flood swept through Bollinger County on Saturday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two vehicles were swept off the roadways in the flooding.
In the first vehicle, a 5 year old and an 8 year old boy died after their vehicle was swept off County Road 356, near Patton, with the driver and a 2 year old being transported to a St. Louis hospital.
The second vehicle, driven by 48 year old Todd Dean, of Louisiana, was swept downstream on County Road 234, 1 Mile from Sedgewickville, where he drowned inside his vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
POPLAR BLUFF MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER VEHICLE COLLISION INTO SHERIFF’S OFFICE
A Poplar Bluff man was taken into custody after a vehicle crashed into the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, 29 year old Chaddrick Smith, of Poplar Bluff, allegedly crashed his vehicle into the Butler County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, partially caving in the struck wall.
Officials say that Smith was allegedly driving drunk when the collision occurred.
ROAD WORK SCHEDULED THIS WEEK IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
Road work has been scheduled to begin this week in Dunklin County.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Westbound Missouri Route 412 in Dunklin County will be reduced for bridge repairs Tuesday through Wednesday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm daily.

SENTENCING SCHEDULED FOR FORMER ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
A Butler County judge is scheduled to announce the sentencing for a former assistant principal this week.
According to officials with the Ripley County police department, 56 year old John Mullins is facing up to 30 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a student in 2015.
His sentencing is scheduled today at 1 pm, with Presiding Circuit Judge Michael Pritchett overseeing the sentencing.
WOMAN ARRESTED IN WAYNE COUNTY ON DRUG RELATED CHARGES
A woman was taken into custody in Wayne County on Friday on drug related charges.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 57 year old Sandra Bowman, of Piedmont, was arrested on felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance – 506 grams of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
She was transported to the Wayne County Jail following her arrest.
WOMAN ARRESTED IN DUNKLIN COUNTY ON SEVERAL WARRANTS
A woman was taken into custody in Dunklin County on Friday on several warrants.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that 34 year old Sonnie Gaskins, of White Oak, was arrested on two felony New Madrid County warrants for failure to appear – one on dangerous drugs and one on amphetamine possession – and a felony Dunklin County warrant on child neglect.
She was transported to the Dunklin County Jail following her arrest.
WOMAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION
A woman was arrested in Stoddard County on Sunday on drug possession.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 53 year old Monica Miller, of Dexter, was booked on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
She was transported to the Stoddard County Jail following her arrest, with a bond of $7,500 cash only.
