TWO MISSING ENDANGERED PERSONS REPORTED IN DEXTER 

Two missing endangered persons have been reported in Dexter on Sunday. 

According to the Dexter Police Department, the two missing and endangered persons are 48 year old Maria Reyes and 7 year old Aryany Reyes, who both went missing on Sunday in Dexter. 

Maria Reyes is a Hispanic female, described as being 4’11 and 120 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair. Aryany Reyes, also a Hispanic female, is 50 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Police are also searching for a person of interest, 45 year old Esbin Martines – a Hispanic male who may be with the two. 

They may both be driving a 2005 Silver Pontiac Grand Am with tinted windows.

ARMED AND DANGEROUS MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN POPLAR BLUFF

Updating a story we brought to you last week, and armed and dangerous suspect was taken into custody in Poplar Bluff early this morning.

According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Carlos Wallace was captured by the department’s Patrol Division after a vehicle pursuit in a stolen vehicle.

He was charged on first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Wallace has been additionally charged on several warrants, and faces additional charges on the vehicle pursuit, the stolen vehicle, as well as charges on stolen firearms that were found inside the stolen vehicle.

INJURIES AND PROPERTY DAMAGE REPORTED FOLLOWING FIRE IN POPLAR BLUFF 

Injuries and property damage were reported following reports of a fire on Friday in Poplar Bluff. 

According to the Poplar Bluff Fire Department, the fire occurred on 827 Poplar Street, where the fire had spread to the majority of the home by the time authorities arrived. 

One of the homes occupants, 29 year old Steven Moore, threw himself through a window to escape the flame, where he received some injuries, with the possibility of drugs being involved. 

The department states that the fire started on the balcony, however the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. More information will be available as the investigation of the fire continues.

OFFICIALS WITH STODDARD COUNTY SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ON ESSEX SHOOTING 

Officials with the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department are searching for information on an Essex shooting that occurred on Thursday. 

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a call in Essex on Thursday, where a man reported that a driver asked him directions to Malden, when another man in the vehicle shot at him when he turned to go back to his home. 

Police are searching for a red, four door vehicle, and anyone with information that can help this investigation is asked to call the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office at 573-568-4654.

DEATH REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN DUNKLIN COUNTY 

A Malden man has died from injuries he received in a vehicle crash early Monday morning. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on County Road 118 at Malden, where a vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. 

The driver, 43 year old Jared Risinger died from his injuries from the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

MAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON MULTIPLE WARRANTS 

A man was taken into custody in Stoddard County on Saturday on multiple warrants. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 48 year old Jeffrey Hobson, of Dexter, was arrested on two felony warrants on possession of a controlled substance, a warrant on probation violation, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Hobson was also charged on a Jefferson County Warrant, a Muhlenburg County warrant, a Dexter Police Department Warrant, a public peace disturbance charge, and resisting an officer. 

Hewas transported to the Stoddard County Jail following his arrest. 

MAN ARRESTED IN PARAGOULD IN RELATION TO BANK ARREST 

Updating a story we brought to you previously, a man has been arrested in Paragould in relation to a bank robbery. 

According to the Paragould Police Department, 44 year old Nathaniel Painter, of Hot Springs, was arrested on Thursday for charges regarding an investigation on the bank robbery of the First National Bank in Paragould. 

Officials responded to a call at the bank on December 12th, with witnesses reporting that an armed man walked into the bank and demanded money before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Painter was arrested the following week, after most of the money he had stolen in the robbery was found in his vehicle, and he was charged on aggravated robbery. 

He was taken into custody shortly after, being held on a $250k bond.

MODERATE INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN BUTLER COUNTY 

Moderate injuries were reported on Sunday following a vehicle accident in Butler County. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on a southbound outer road near Poplar Bluff, where a vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree. 

The driver of the vehicle received moderate injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
