POPLAR BLUFF SCHOOLS HOLIDAY BREAK TO BEGIN MONDAY
Students in Poplar Bluff are getting ready to begin their holiday break.
Poplar Bluff R-1 School officials say that the holiday break this year will begin on Monday, December 23rd.
Students will return to class on Monday, January 6th, 2020.
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEKEND IN DOWNTOWN POPLAR BLUFF
There is a Christmas shopping festival scheduled to be held this weekend in downtown Poplar Bluff.
The event will be held on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, with 10x10 booth space available for $60, and limited 15x15 booth space available for $85. The booths will be available until all spots are sold.
The festival will be located at the Black River Ballroom at 502 Vine Street, and set up for the event will be on Friday night from 5 to 9 pm, and Saturday morning from 6 to 8:30 am, with loaders and un-loaders available.

FISK LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
Parade lights will be illuminating a Butler County city this weekend.
The Fisk Lighted Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin at 6 pm Saturday night, with line-up beginning at 5 pm at the Fisk school.
The parade will run through the city before ending at the Fisk Park where Santa will be available to take pictures.
RIVER RADIO BLOOD DRIVE SCHEDULED FOR TODAY
Celebrate the spirit of Christmas today by giving blood to help save lives.
The River Radio Blood Drive has been scheduled for 1 to 6 pm at the Greater Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce.

33rd POPLAR BLUFF SHOWDOWN TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK
The 33rd Poplar Bluff Basketball Showdown is scheduled to begin next week.
According to Poplar Bluff Athletic Director Kent Keith, the Showdown will feature eight teams across four states at the Poplar Bluff Senior High gym.
The games will begin at 4 pm next Thursday with Tennessee’s South Side High School facing Memphis Central High School.
The Poplar Bluff Mules will be taking on Kauffman High School out of Kansas City, Missouri, beginning at approximately 7 pm. All Mules games during the showdown will be live on Today’s Talk KWOC.
Other matchups for next Thursday include Jonesboro High School vs. Arkansas High School at approximately 5:30 pm, and Southmoore High School vs. Kirby High School at approximately 8:30 pm.
Tickets to enter the showdown are $7 per day.
AG EXPO 2020 TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 31st AND FEBRUARY 1st
We are less than one month away from Ag Expo 2020.
Next year’s Ag Expo will be held on January 31st and February 1st at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff. There will be over 100 agriculture related booths and exhibits at the expo along with many activities for the whole family.
Other events will include the beauty pageant, FFA tractor driving contest, petting farm, old time auction, and cow milking contest.
Admission will be $1 for adults and free for all college students and youth.
