COURT CASE SCHEDULED FOR POPLAR BLUFF MAN ON SHOOTING INCIDENT
Updating a story we brought to you previously, a Poplar Bluff man has been scheduled for a court appearance for today in relation to a shooting incident.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, 22 year old Kayln Johnson is set to appear on felony first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, armed criminal action charges.
He has been suspected and accused of shooting Ernest Taylor, who had been shot in the head in a residence on Main Street on Tuesday.
Johnson is reported to be a convicted felon, with previous charges on delivery of a controlled substance, and second degree burglary.
INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN RIPLEY COUNTY
Injuries have been reported following a vehicle crash in Ripley County on Wednesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Route P, near Gatewood, where a vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, striking three trees and a MoDOT sign.
The driver of the vehicle received moderate injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
ROAD SCHEDULED FOR CLOSING IN BUTLER AND DUNKLIN COUNTIES
A road is scheduled for closing in Butler and Dunklin Counties today.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Route 53 in Butler and Dunklin Counties will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews perform repairs. The work is scheduled for today from 10 am to 3 pm.

CAUSE OF DEATH IDENTIFIED FOR BUTLER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATOR
Updating a story we brought to you yesterday, the cause of death for Robert Hudson, the Butler County Health Department’s Administrator, has been determined.
According to Butler County Coroner Andy Moore, Hudson died from carbon monoxide poisoning while working on his vehicle inside of a closed garage. This was confirmed after an autopsy was performed on his body on Wednesday.
Officials state that this incident is a tragic accident, and that there is no other reason to believe it was anything else.
CARUTHERSVILLE WOMAN CONTINUES TO BE MISSING
The Caruthersville Police Department is asking the public to assist in the search of a still missing Caruthersville woman.
The missing person is 36 year old Michele Bell, who was reported to have a mental breakdown before leaving the city of Caruthersville on December 8th. She is 5’4, 105 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes, and was wearing a pink shirt and leggings when she left the city. A reward was issued in December for her safe return.
Her vehicle was reported being found near Joiner, Arkansas on December 9th, on the exit ramp of Interstate 55.

DRIVER RECEIVED SERIOUS INJURIES FOLLOWING VEHICLE COLLISION IN PEMISCOT COUNTY
A driver was seriously injured following a vehicle collision in Pemiscot County on Wednesday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the incident occurred on Missouri 84, west of Hayti, where two vehicles were traveling Eastbound, and one vehicle struck the other in the rear.
The driver of the struck vehicle received serious injuries as a result of the collision, and was transported to a hospital in Hayti.
