MAN ARRESTED IN POPLAR BLUFF ON SUSPECTED SHOOTING
A man was taken into custody in Poplar Bluff on a suspected free fire shooting.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, officers responded to a call out of Warren Street for a male who was shooting a firearm while walking through the street.
24 year old Roderick Russell was taken into custody after he was found alongside a 12 gauge shotgun that he admitted to fire off in the streets, and faces charged on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon.
He also faces several other failure to appear warrants on trespassing, shoplifting, property damage, resisting arrest, and two counts of possession of marijuana.
MISSING TEEN OUT OF STODDARD COUNTY FOUND
A previously missing person out of Stoddard County has been found safe.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 17 year old Dakota Slavings was found safe after leaving her home in Bernie on Thursday.
She was reported to have been found safe in Malden.
DRIVER EXAMINATION STATIONS SCHEDULED TO CLOSE
Driver examination stations throughout Missouri are scheduled for closing.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the stations will close on February 12th for Lincoln’s Birthday, and again on February 17th for Washington’s Birthday. The stations will resume operations on the 13th and 18th respectively.

WOMAN ARRESTED IN CARTER COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION
A woman was taken into custody out of Carter County on Monday for drug possession charges.
According to the Carter County Sheriff’s Department, 33 year old Amber Sappington was arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of over 11 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 60 grams of liquid meth, a THC dab, and drug paraphernalia.
A handgun was additionally found inside the vehicle.
Sappington was charged on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a drug paraphernalia, and was transferred to the Shannon County Jail following her arrest.
INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
Injuries have been reported following a vehicle crash in Dunklin County on Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at US Highway 62, near Campbell, where a vehicle pulled into the path of another vehicle.
The driver of the oncoming vehicle received minor injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Arkansas.
ROAD CLOSING IN STODDARD COUNTY FOR REPAIRS
A road in Stoddard County is scheduled to close for repairs.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Route 153 in Stoddard County will be reduced while MoDOT crews perform edge rut repairs. The work is scheduled to take place today from 8 am to 3 pm.
