MAN FACING CHARGES IN RELATION TO DEATH INVESTIGATION IN STODDARD COUNTY
A man is facing charges in relation to a death investigation out of Stoddard County.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 41 year old Joshua Herron, of Advance, is facing a charge on tampering with physical evidence, and two juveniles were also taken into custody.
The investigation began when 61 year old Robert Harwood was found dead in a home on Duckett Street in Advance, and an autopsy was performed on his body, though the reports have not yet been made public.
Herron was transported to the Stoddard County Jail on his charges, and was set on a $25,000 bond.

2020 AG EXPO TO BEGIN TODAY IN POPLAR BLUFF
Ag Expo 2020 is set to begin today in Poplar Bluff.
Ag Expo will be held both today and Saturday at the Black River Coliseum. There will be over 100 vendors on display relating to all aspects of agriculture and natural resources in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas.
Additional events will include the beauty pageant, FFA tractor driving contest, petting farm, old time auction, and milking contest.
Admission will be $2 for adults, while youth and college students get in for free.

6TH ANNUAL BADGE OF HONOR BENEFIT RUN SET TO BE HELD IN EARLY APRIL
Registration is ongoing for the 6th Annual Badge of Honor Benefit Run.
The Benefit Run will be held on Saturday, April 4th at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 am.
There will be a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon and anyone who registers by March 1st will receive an event t-shirt and medal.

ARMED THEFT REPORTED IN PARAGOULD STORE
An armed theft was reported at a Paragould store on Thursday.
According to the Paragould Police Department, officials received a call from the Flash Market store on Kings Highway, where a man entered the store and revealed a firearm, demanding money from the cashier. After receiving the money, the man left the store and fled the scene.

JOB AND COLLEGE TRANSFER FAIR SET FOR EARLY APRIL IN POPLAR BLUFF
A date has been set for the spring Job Fair in Poplar Bluff.
According to the Butler County Community Resource Council, the Job Fair, as well as a College Transfer Fair, will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on Thursday, April 2nd.
The fairs will be located at the Bess Activity Center on the campus of Three Rivers College.
ROAD SCHEDULED FOR REDUCTION IN STODDARD COUNTY
A road in Stoddard County is scheduled to be reduced starting next week.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of roadway on Route 25 in Stoddard County, between Route C in Advance and Route Z in Bernie, will be reduced while crews perform guardrail upgrades.
The work is scheduled to be done from Monday through July 31st, with crews working on the road from 7 am to 6 pm each day.
