MISSING JONESBORO WOMAN POSSIBLY IN DUNKLIN COUNTY AREA
The Jonesboro Police Department is currently searching for a missing woman that is possibly in the Dunklin County area.
According to the department, Peggy Edwards was last seen on November 7th leaving a home in Jonesboro, and was heading towards Cardwell Missouri, as well as Paragould Arkansas.
Edwards did not arrive in Paragould, and it is unknown if she made it to Cardwell. She was driving a gray Nissan pickup truck with a damaged front end and a black hood. A picture of her is available on the Jonesboro Police Department’s Facebook page.

WOMAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON METH AND MARIJUANA POSSESSION
A woman was taken into custody in Stoddard County on Saturday on meth and marijuana charges.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 42 year old Yvonne Jones, of Tallapoosa, was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance on methamphetamine, as well as possession of a controlled substance – less than 10 grams of marijuana.
Following her arrest, she was transported to the Stoddard County Jail.
ROADWAY IN RIPLEY COUNTY CLOSING DURING REPAIRS
A roadway in Ripley County will be closed while repairs are underway.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of Route T, located 5 miles from the Route 160 junction, will be closed while MODOT crews replace a culvert underneath the roadway.
The work is scheduled to start today at 8 am, and will be completed by 2 pm.
SERIOUS INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN CARTER COUNTY
A driver was seriously injured after his vehicle crashed in Carter County on Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place on Highway N, west of Ellsinore, where a vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and over-corrected while trying to return to the road, causing the car to overturn.
The driver, who was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, was flown to a Cape Girardeau hospital for treatment.
MEMPHIS MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEW MADRID COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES
A Memphis man was arrested in New Madrid County on Monday on drug possession charges
According to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, 39 year old Anthony Caldwell was charged on two counts of possession of a controlled substance – 30 pills of Percocet, and Adderall possession.
He was transported to the New Madrid County Jail following his arrest.
TOTAL CASES OF COVID-19 IN MISSOURI NOW OVER 212,000; CASES ACROSS SOUTHEAST MISSOURI CONTINUE TO RISE
The total number of coronavirus cases in Missouri has risen past 212,000, while cases throughout Missouri have continued to increase.
According to the Butler County Health Department, 113 new cases of the virus have been confirmed since Friday, and two deaths were reported over the weekend. The County now stands at 1,969 cases.
In Stoddard County, 56 new cases were reported on Monday, with 30 new cases and two deaths confirmed over the weekend, bringing the County’s totals to 1,381 cases and 29 fatalities. Of the current cases, 258 are active, while 1,094 have recovered.
Dunklin County now stands at 1,621 confirmed cases. Of them, 157 are active, while 1,452 have recovered.
In Missouri, as of Monday, there are now a total of 212,441 cases of the virus in the state, while 3,153 deaths have been directly linked to the disease.
