REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION ON MISSING MAN OUT OF RIPLEY COUNTY

 

A $5,000 reward has been placed for information that can lead to finding a missing man in Ripley County.

Chief Deputy Charlie Mays tells KWOC News that deputies with the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office have been searching for 38 year old Brandon Harris for over a week.

Harris is a white male with dark hair, and is likely unshaven. His vehicle was found at a local business on Saturday.

POLICE PRESENCE INCREASED FOLLOWING ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING IN POPLAR BLUFF

 

The presence of police in south side Poplar Bluff has been upped after reports were made about an attempted kidnapping.

According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, witness reports state that an unidentified man ran towards and attempted to take a 10 year old girl from a school stop on Tuesday, however the girl was able to get to safety at a neighbors house, who took her home.

Several additional marked and unmarked police vehicles were dispatched on Midland Street following the incident, with additional patrols moving before and after school hours.

INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN RIPLEY COUNTY

A driver was seriously injured in a vehicle crash that occurred in Ripley County on Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on County Road JJ-2, east of Doniphan, where a vehicle ran off the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.

The driver of the vehicle received serious injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported by air to a hospital in St. Louis.


MISSING NEW MADRID COUNTY MAN FOUND DEAD IN STODDARD COUNTY

 

The body of a New Madrid County man was found in Stoddard County on Saturday.

According to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, the body of Gary Cagle Jr. was found in Stoddard County near a dirt road, after his vehicle was found in a ditch near Highway A in New Madrid, just a few miles east from his body.

An autopsy on his body has been scheduled for today at 10 am.

MULTIPLE ARRESTS MADE IN RIPLEY COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES

There were multiple people taken into custody in Ripley County on Friday on possession of methamphetamine.

According to officials with the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, 43 year old Kelly Hunter, 36 year old Derek Fox, 32 year old Christopher Peterson, and 30 year old Katie Ganzer, were all arrested on felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Hunter, Peterson, and Ganzer were additionally charged on unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were all transported to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office following their arrests.


POLICE DEPARTMENT LOOKING INTO COUNTERFEIT BILLS REPORTED IN KENNETT

 

The Kennett Police Department is looking into counterfeit bills that are circulating in the area.

According to the department, counterfeit $100 bills are being used in the city, as well as a few surrounding areas, and business owners as well as citizens are urged to be on the lookout.

WOMAN ARRESTED IN BUTLER COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION

 

A woman was taken into custody in Butler County on Friday on drug possession charges.

According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, 24 year old Kristin Thompson was arrested on felony possession charges of a controlled substance – one count methamphetamine and one count clonezepam, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was transported to the Butler County Jail following her arrest.
