TRAILER FIRE REPORTED IN DUNKLIN COUNTY NEAR CAMPBELL

 

A trailer fire was reported in Dunklin County near Campbell on Monday.

According to the Campbell Fire Department, the fire was reported early morning on a roadway about 3 miles north of Campbell. Both lanes of traffic were closed while crews attempted to get the flames under control.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and is currently under investigation.

INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN DUNKLIN COUNTY

 

Injuries have been reported following a vehicle crash in Dunklin County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on State Highway 25, north of Clarkton, where a vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway and struck a telephone box and a tree.

The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Dexter.

ROAD SCHEDULED TO CLOSE IN NEW MADRID FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

 

A road is scheduled to be closed in New Madrid County next week so crews can begin a construction project.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of Route D in New Madrid, between Route 153 and County Road 531, will be closed while MoDOT crews construct a new bridge over a drainage ditch.

The work is scheduled to begin on February 10th, and will end on June 12th.

SUSPECT WANTED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT IN BUTLER COUNTY

 

An armed and dangerous suspect in a shooting in the Neelyville area is still being searched for.

According to Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs, 21 year old Deshawn Bell allegedly shot 47 year old Keith Whitehead, of Neelyville, in the back, inflicting life threatening injuries.

Deshawn is currently being searched for by the Sheriff’s Department in Neelyville, and has been charged on a felony charge of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR EARLY APRIL IN RIPLEY COUNTY

 

There is a public hearing scheduled to be held in Ripley County in April.

The hearing will discuss Ripley County’s Five-Year and Annual Plans, and will be held on April 1st at 10 am at the Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission office on 3019 Fair Street in Poplar Bluff.

THREE RIVERS ENDOWMENT TRUST SCHEDULED TO HOLD TRIVIA NIGHT

 

The Three Rivers Community College will be holding their annual Trivia Night Fundraiser later this month.

The proceeds gained from the fundraiser go towards benefiting scholarships for students of TRCC, and includes a dinner and cash bar, along with the trivia competition itself.

Tables for the event will be $120, begins at 5 pm, and will be held at the Holiday Inn in Poplar Bluff on February 27th.
