THEFT REPORTED IN POPLAR BLUFF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI SEARCH AND RESCUE
A theft has been reported in Poplar Bluff by Southeast Mo. Search and Rescue.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, the organization’s mobile command center had almost all of its equipment stolen from it, including multiple radios and radio equipment, laptops, first aid equipment, boxes of MRE, and more.
It is unknown at this time when, or how the theft took place.

MAN ARRESTED IN NEW MADRID COUNTY ON POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE
A man has been taken into custody in New Madrid on possession of methamphetamine.
According to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, 36 year old James Birdwell, of Ellington, has been arrested on felony
possession – methamphetamine, and a charge on possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the New Madrid County Jail following his arrest.
INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN RIPLEY COUNTY
Injuries have been reported following a vehicle crash in Ripley County on Tuesday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on Missouri 21, near Doniphan, where a vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment.
The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
SCAM CALLS ASKING FOR MONEY REPORTED IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
There have been several reports of scam calls in Dunklin County.
According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, the caller will state that there is a warrant out for the arrest of the recipient of the person being called, and will ask for money to keep them from being incarcerated.
The number has been modified to make it look like it is coming from the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office, however the department has stated that it will not call individuals on warrants, and anyone receiving such a call should hang up immediately.

MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY LEADS TO INJURIES
Injuries have been reported following a vehicle collision in Butler County on Tuesday.
Officials with the Butler County Sheriff’s Department report that the crash occurred on Route B, 3 miles east of Poplar Bluff, where a vehicle failed to yield and struck another vehicle in the rear, which caused the struck vehicle to run into the vehicle in front of it.
The driver of the initially struck vehicle received minor injuries from the collisions, and was transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff for treatment.
THREE RIVERS COLLEGE HOSTING JAZZ FESTIVAL NEXT WEEK
There will be an annual jazz festival being held at the Three Rivers Community College next week.
The Patrons of the Arts will be presenting a performance by Jubilation Jazz, a group of musicians who use music to share gospel, as well as performances by junior high and high school bands from several other schools. Tickets are available for purchase online at TRCC.Edu for $15, and the performance will be held at the campus’ Tinnin Fine Arts Center on February 14th, at 7 pm.
