WOMAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
A woman has been taken into custody in Stoddard County on Wednesday on multiple charges.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 49 year old Robin Benfield, of Zalma, was arrested on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated resulting in physical injury, and leaving the scene of a crime. She was also charged with assault on law enforcement, and attempt to escape custody. She was transported to the Stoddard County Jail following her arrest.
SERIOUS INJURY REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN WAYNE COUNTY
A driver was seriously injured in a vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday in Wayne County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on US Highway 67 at County Road 406, near Greenville, where a vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and causing the vehicle to become airborne, before it came to rest down a ravine.
The driver of the vehicle received serious injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
SUSPECT IDENTIFIED IN STORE ROBBERY IN PARAGOULD
A suspect has been identified in a robbery that occurred in Paragould on January 30th.
According to the Paragould Police Department, Wendell Hart Jr. was taken into custody in Jonesboro on an armed robbery charge after he reportedly robbed a man at gunpoint.
Hart will be taken into custody in Greene County on a warrant on an aggravated robbery charge when his charges in Jonesboro have been resolved.
JUVENILE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN MALDEN ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES
A Malden juvenile was taken into custody on Wednesday on drug possession charges.
According to the Malden Police Department, a 17 year old male was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and was transported to the Dunklin County Jail following his arrest.
He has a court date on the charge set for March 1st.
VEHICLE COLLISION IN STODDARD COUNTY LEADS TO SOME INJURIES
Injuries have been reported following a vehicle crash in Stoddard County on Wednesday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on Route C in Advance, where a vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle.
An occupant of the crossing vehicle received minor injuries, and was transported to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.
NARCOTICS FOUND IN DUNKLIN COUNTY FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANT
A number of narcotics have been found in Dunklin County after a search was performed.
According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant was executed in the 300 block of South Jackson Street in Kennett, where officials discovered an undisclosed amount of narcotics and items of drug paraphernalia.
Jerry Kinnon, of Kennett, was taken into custody in relation to the narcotics, and was charged on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
