Health officials in Butler County say a death may be linked to COVID-19.

Due to the rumors and misinformation this press release is for complete transparency and community awareness. 

The Butler County Coroner’s Office has been notified, and is in involved with, a death involving a person under investigation for Covid-19.  As of the time of this press release, the test is pending. 

Any positive Covid-19 tests will be relayed to The State of Missouri for proper reporting and announcements. 

Out of respect for the privacy of the family, Coroner Andy Moore will not release any information about the  deceased.
