POSSIBLE COVID-19 RELATED DEATH REPORTED IN BUTLER COUNTY
A death possibly related to the COVID-19 virus is being investigated in Butler County.
According to Butler County Coroner Andy Moore, a test is currently pending on whether or not a death reported inside Butler County is related to the coronavirus.
Information on the deceased has not been released at this time, and whether or not the individual is a resident of Butler County is being held confidential.
POSITIVE CASES OF COVID-19 IN MISSOURI PEAKS 200
There are now over 200 positive cases of the COVID-19 virus in Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of Tuesday, there are 227 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Missouri, with recent cases emerging in Cape Girardeau, Perry, Pemiscot, St. Francois, Scott, and Dunklin Counties.
Three deaths in Missouri have been linked to COVID-19, and a hotline for residents with questions about the virus is available by calling 877-435-8411.
POPLAR BLUFF DONATION ORGANIZATION ASSISTING ELDERLY
Several local churches have partnered with the Deliver Hope program to assist elderly who are in need.
The churches have partnered with the Northside Nutrition Center and Building Bonds to bring meals and assistance to elderly residents who are suffering as a result of the COVID-19 virus, including delivering fresh hot and frozen meals, collection and distribution of meal packs, and personal phone calls to ensure their safety.

POPLAR BLUFF MEDICAL CENTER RESTRICTING VISITORS DUE TO COVID-19
The Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is restricting access in an attempt to halt the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Visitors to the hospital are being restricted starting today, with exceptions in place for parents with child patients, individuals requiring a caregiver, support for obstetric patients, and limited visitors for patients at an end of life state.
An approved designated visitor must meet one of these exceptions, and the visitor cannot be changed during a patient's stay. Additionally, the hospital is not accepting flowers, gifts, or food deliveries to either staff or patients.
TWO ARRESTED IN GREENE COUNTY ARKANSAS ON CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND DOMESTIC BATTERY
Two people were taken into custody in Greene County following an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the department, 26 year old Alexis Murray, and 30 year old Cody Baker, of Beech Grove, were both arrested on three 1st degree charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, with Baker additionally facing three 2nd degree domestic battery charges.
These charges have been issued as a result of an investigation by officials with the Sheriff’s Department, after a babysitter reported that their three children were living in an unsafe environment, and that the children were being physically harmed.
One of the children was reported to have bruises across her arms and face, and each child had varying degrees of physical abuse.
Baker and Murray were both transported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department following their arrests, and are currently held on a $10,000 cash only bond.
INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY
Injuries were reported following a vehicle crash in Butler County on Tuesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Forest Service Road 3107, north of Poplar Bluff, where a vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
An occupant of the vehicle received minor injuries from the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
ROAD SCHEDULED FOR REPAIRS IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
A road in Dunklin County will be reduced while a pipe is replaced underneath the roadway.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of Route 153, from Route EE to Route M, will be reduced to one lane while repairs are underway from March 30th to April 2nd, from 6:30 am to 4 pm daily.
