INVESTIGATION ONGOING FOR SHOOTING IN POPLAR BLUFF
There is an ongoing investigation into a shooting that was reported in Poplar Bluff on Tuesday.
According to officials with the Poplar Bluff Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of North 11th Street, where a 55 year old man was shot in the arm while standing on a porch. He was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment, before being flown to another hospital.
Several bullet casings were located in the area, and gunfire damage was reported on a nearby vehicle, and several were found on the house the victim was standing under.

THREE INJURED FROM VEHICLE CRASH IN BUTLER COUNTY
Three people were injured following a vehicle crash in Butler County on Wednesday.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash happened on US 67, south of US 160, where a vehicle struck another car in the rear, which resulted in the struck vehicle hitting a third automobile in the rear.
The driver of the first vehicle was moderately injured, while the driver of the third vehicle suffered serious injuries. An occupant of the same vehicle received minor injuries.
They were all transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.
POPLAR BLUFF ANIMAL SHELTER SEEKING ASSISTANCE FOR ANIMAL OVERFLOW
A local animal shelter is asking for help from residents with an overflow of animals.
The Poplar Bluff Animal Control stated yesterday that the shelter is currently overwhelmed, and is seeking individuals who are seeking to adopt the many animals of the shelter, some of which have been there for several months.

ADDITIONAL CASES OF COVID-19 REPORTED IN BUTLER AND STODDARD COUNTIES
More cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Butler and Stoddard Counties since yesterday.
According to the Butler County Health Department, there were two additional cases of the COVID-19 virus reported since Wednesday, raising the County’s total to 42 cases, 28 of which have recovered.
In Stoddard County, 6 more cases of the virus have been reported, making it 100 cases total. Of them, 60 are currently active, 35 have recovered, and 5 have died.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of Wednesday, there are a total of 13,767 cases of the coronavirus in the state, and 786 deaths have been directly linked to the disease.
If you are showing symptoms of the virus, such as shortness of breath, persistent coughing, or fever, you are advised to contact your primary healthcare provider before visiting any hospital or emergency rooms.
AUTHORITIES IN PARAGOULD INVESTIGATING TWO DEATHS
There is currently an investigation underway over two people who were found dead in Greene County.
According to Sheriff Steve Franks, authorities in Paragould responded to a call on Tuesday on the 1100 block of Greene Road 714, where two people were found who were shot to death.
Few details are available at this time, and the investigation into the two deaths is currently ongoing.
WOMAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON DRUG RELATED CHARGES
A woman was taken into custody in Stoddard County on Wednesday on drug possession charges.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 45 year old Rebecca Day, of Sikeston, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid.
Following her arrest, she was transported to the Stoddard County Jail on a $4,900 cash or surety bond.
