PRESALE UNDERWAY FOR MULES STATE QUARTERFINAL GAME
The presale is underway for the Poplar Bluff Mules State playoff game on Friday.
The Mules will be hosting Chaminade at 6 pm Friday night for the Class 6 state quarterfinal in a game you can hear live on Today’s Talk 93.3 FM and 930 AM KWOC and watch online at MSHSAA.tv.
According to Poplar Bluff Athletics Director Kent Keith, anyone who wants to purchase tickets should go to mshsaa.org and use the presale code 98854Q. The presale will end at noon today, at which point the tickets will open up for general admission and the code will not be needed.
Keith says that tickets will not be sold at the door and masks are required for all fans that attend.
CAMPBELL CAMELS TO PLAY FOR SPOT IN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME TODAY
The Campbell Camels boys basketball team will play today for a spot in the Class 2 State Championship Game.
Campbell will take on Norwood in Springfield today at 1 pm in the Class 2 State Semifinal. The winner will play Friday against either Salisbury or North Andrew for a state title.
Last night, the New Madrid County Central Girls basketball team was eliminated in the Class 4 State Sectional following their 65-51 loss to Park Hills Central.
PRESALE BEGINS THIS MORNING FOR TRAVIS TRITT CONCERT IN POPLAR BLUFF
Country music legend Travis Tritt is coming to Poplar Bluff in April and fans will have a chance to secure their tickets to the concert this morning.
Tritt will be performing some of his biggest hits on Saturday, April 10th at the Black River Coliseum. The 24 hour presale for the show begins at 10 am this morning at ticketmaster.com.
Tickets can be purchased by using the code CLEAR and start at $29.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 am on Friday at ticketmaster.com or at the Black River Coliseum box office.
TWO ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON METH CHARGE
Two Dexter residents were taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Stoddard County on meth charges.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29 year old Dustin McAlister and 26 year old Lydia McClain were each arrested on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine shortly after 12:30 pm.
McClain is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were both held at the Stoddard County Jail.
THREE RIVERS COLLEGE ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF DEXTER BUILDING
Three Rivers College has announced the purchase of a building in Dexter.
College officials tell KWOC News that Three Rivers College signed a four-year lease-to-own agreement with the Dexter Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday to purchase the building that houses TRC-Dexter.
The property, located at 515 West Market, is owned by the Dexter Chamber of Commerce Development, Incorporated and has a total of 62,400 square feet. Three Rivers currently occupies approximately 19,600 square feet.
Dr. Wesley Payne, President of Three Rivers College, says that the purchase gives them the option to expand the facilities in the future so that they can better serve the Dexter community.
CULVERT REPLACEMENT TO FORCE CLOSURE OF STODDARD COUNTY ROAD TODAY
Route N in Stoddard County will be closed today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can replace a culvert under the roadway.
The section of roadway to be closed is located between County Roads 536 and 540.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take place from 8 am to 3 pm.
