LADY RAIDERS DEFEAT WESTERN NEBRASKA TO SECURE PLACE IN FINAL FOUR
The Three Rivers College Women’s Basketball team has reached a place they have never been before.
The nine seed Lady Raiders defeated 16 seed Western Nebraska on Thursday, 79-71 to advance to the NJCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Semifinals.
The Lady Raiders previous best finish was the national quarterfinals in 2004. They are undefeated for the year and are the only undefeated team remaining in the NJCAA Division 1.
Three Rivers will play the five seed Northwest Florida State today at 4 pm in the final four.
CHARGES PENDING ON TWO PEOPLE IN WAYNE COUNTY FOLLOWING VEHICLE SEARCH
Charges are pending against two people in Wayne County following an early morning traffic stop.
Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch tells KWOC News that on Thursday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 67 near Greenville.
During the stop, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located 16 grams of methamphetamine along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Finch says that William McKinney and Stephanie Polk were taken into custody and booked at the Wayne County Jail.
COVID 19 CLINIC TODAY IN POPLAR BLUFF
Covid-19 Vaccinations will be available today in Poplar Bluff.
The Mass clinic will be held from 9 am to 2 pm today at the Elks Lodge, north of Poplar Bluff off US Highway 67.

METHAMPHETAMINE FOUND IN WAYNE COUNTY RESIDENCE
Multiple drugs were found earlier this week during the search of a Wayne County residence.
According to authorities, on Monday Wayne County deputies responded to an area residence in search of a wanted person.
At the residence, Derek Ousely was located and taken into custody on an active warrant for Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
While searching the residence, deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Officials say that David Johnson was also taken into custody following the search. Both Ousely and Johnson were booked at the Wayne County Jail.
PBHS FFA SPRING GREENHOUSE SALE SET FOR NEXT WEEK
It’s almost time for the annual spring greenhouse sale in Poplar Bluff.
The Poplar Bluff High School FFA chapter has over 1,000 plants cultivated for the fundraiser, with numerous types available.
Customers may stop by the greenhouse behind the High School from 8 am to 2:15 pm April 26th through the 30th.
Proceeds from the annual plant sale go toward travel expenses for Poplar Bluff FFA field trips and competitions.
FUNDRAISER FOR THE REESE AINLEY FOUNDATION SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
A fundraiser will be held this weekend for the Reese Ainley Foundation.
The 1st Annual Reesefest has been scheduled for noon on Saturday at the Naylor City Park.
There will be multiple attractions, including a petting zoo, car show, beauty pageant, and silent auction.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Reese Ainley Foundation which will give back to the community in various ways including scholarships.
