POPLAR BLUFF SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING TO MOVE DOWNTOWN

The administrative building for the Poplar Bluff School District is heading downtown.

According to officials, Poplar Bluff Schools has closed on the former U.S. Bank branch building on South Main Street to relocate its Administrative Building in the future.

The 16,000-square-foot two-story facility will become the new home for public Board of Education meetings, in addition to providing offices for the district’s superintendent cabinet and support team.

School officials are hopeful a community development block grant will be approved to construct a culinary arts facility on the Technical Career Center campus, otherwise the future home of the Mules Café will be determined.

Anyone who has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the deadline can enter at any time for the drawings at MOStopsCovid.com. Once a Missourian enters, their entry will be carried over through all the drawings. There is no need to enter more than once.

In Southeast Missouri, winners included two Poplar Bluff residents, as well as residents from Malden, Bloomfield, Kennett, and Piedmont, among other communities.
