9-11 REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY HELD IN POPLAR BLUFF
Saturday was the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks and a special remembrance ceremony was held in Poplar Bluff.
The keynote speaker was the United States Congressman from southeast Missouri Jason Smith, who spoke about the lives that were lost 20 years ago.
There were also multiple guest speakers at the event, including Poplar Bluff Police Chief Danny Whiteley, Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs, and Missouri Senator Jason Bean.

MAN FLOWN FROM THE SCENE OF A MOTORCYCLE WRECK INVOLVING A DEER
A Malden man was flown from the scene of a wreck Thursday in Iron County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 59 year old Gary Sutton was riding a motorcycle on Iron County Road 160, near Des Arc, when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway.
Sutton, who was reportedly not wearing a safety device, suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported by air to a St. Louis hospital.
GREENVILLE RESIDENT SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK
One man was injured in a single vehicle wreck Friday evening.
According to authorities, the wreck occurred shortly before 6 pm Friday on Highway 49, five miles east of Williamsville.
A vehicle travelled off the side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as 26 year old Conagher Marler, of Greenville, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
Officials say he was later flown to a St. Louis area hospital.
HIGHWAY 67 IN BUTLER COUNTY TO BE CLOSED THIS WEEK
Median repairs are going to force the closure of a portion of US Route 67 in Butler County this week.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the closure will be located from the ramp at Missouri Route 158 to Route C.
Weather permitting, work will take place today through Wednesday, September 22nd from 7 am to 4:30 pm, each day.
NEW MADRID COUNTY ROAD REDUCED TODAY FOR REPAIRS
Route EE in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
The work zone will be located from Route 61 to County Road 314.
Work is scheduled to take place today from 8 am to 3 pm.
