TEXAS MAN IN CUSTODY IN CONNECTION TO ALLEGED RAPE IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI

A Texas man is in custody in connection to a reported rape in Southeast Missouri.

Officials with the Miner Police Department tell KWOC News that they received information last week of a rape that allegedly occurred at an area motel.

An investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of 39 year old Shawn Ogletree, of Schertz, Texas, on charges of 2nd degree rape and supplying alcohol to a minor. 

WANTED MAN ARRESTED FOR NORTHEAST ARKANSAS SHOOTING

Updating a story we brought to you last week, authorities in Northeast Arkansas have arrested a man who was wanted following an area shooting.

According to Greene County Sheriff Steve Franks, on Friday his officers received information that Colton Hardin was seen in the Finch area.

Hardin had been wanted in connection to an incident earlier this month where a man was shot in the leg with an AR-15.

Franks says that Hardin was spotted hiding in a wooded area in the Finch community and numerous agencies were involved in his eventual arrest.

Following the arrest, Hardin was booked into the Green County Jail.

 

ONE INJURED IN DUNKLIN COUNTY UTV WRECK

A Tennessee man was the only person reported injured following a UTV wreck in Dunklin County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 44 year old Michael McCormick, of Columbia, Tennessee, was a passenger in a UTV that overturned early Saturday morning on Dunklin County Road 725.

McCormick was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck. He was transported to a Hayti hospital with serious injuries. 

 

GATEWOOD MAN TRANSPORTED TO AREA HOSPITAL AFTER HIS VEHICLE HITS A TREE 

A Gatewood man was taken to an area hospital after being involved in a wreck Saturday afternoon.

According to authorities, 22 year old Justin Howard was driving on Highway P in Ripley County when his vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.

Howard suffered serious injuries in the wreck and was transported to a Pocahontas hospital. 

 

ROAD CREWS TO BE IN STODDARD COUNTY THIS WEEK

Route FF in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane this week so crews can perform drainage repairs.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the work zone will be located from Route E to County Road 533.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 am to 3:30 pm daily through Thursday.

 

CULVERT REPLACEMENT TO CAUSE CLOSURE OF PEMISCOT COUNTY ROAD

Route YY in Pemiscot County will be closed today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

According to officials, the section of Route YY to be closed is located just east of County Road 209.

Weather permitting, work will take place today through 4:30 pm.
