FRESHMAN ORIENTATION COMING UP TODAY AT POPLAR BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL
Freshman orientation is set to be held today at Poplar Bluff High School.
Officials say that orientation will begin at 8 this morning.
Students will get to learn more about life at the High School, get their class schedule, pick up their school laptop, learn the layout of the campus, and meet their advisory class.
Students should also bring a backpack.

THIS IS THE FINAL WEEK TO REGISTER FOR FALL CLASSES AT THREE RIVERS COLLEGE
The deadline to register for fall classes at Three Rivers College is rapidly approaching.
The last day to register for classes is this Friday, August 18th. You can find out more information about classes offered at Three Rivers online at trcc.edu.
Fall semester classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 21st.
STODDARD COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW FOR CULVERT REPLACEMENT
Westbound Route 60 in Stoddard County will be reduced today as contractor crews perform roadside work.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the section of roadway being reduced is located from Route F to County Road 485 near Dudley.
Weather permitting, work will take place today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WOMAN FLOWN TO MEMPHIS HOSPITAL FOLLOWING CRASH NEAR NEW MADRID
An area woman was badly hurt in a single vehicle crash near New Madrid.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71 year old Teresa Farrenburg, was driving on New Madrid County Road 707, when her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Farrenburg suffered serious injuries in the crash and was flown to a Memphis hospital.
POCAHONTAS AND PIGGOTT AMONG SCHOOLS BEGINNING CLASSES TODAY
At least two more schools in Northeast Arkansas will be starting their school year today.
The Pocahontas and Piggott School Districts are both set to begin classes this morning.
Most schools in Southeast Missouri will be welcoming kids back beginning next week, with Monday seeing at least 26 schools opening their doors, including Poplar Bluff, Greenville, and Kennett.
OPEN HOUSES TO BE HELD THIS WEEK IN THE TWIN RIVERS SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Twin Rivers School District will be holding multiple open houses tomorrow.
According to school officials, the back to school open houses have been scheduled for Thursday at both the Fisk and Qulin campuses.
Freshman Orientation will also be held tomorrow at Twin Rivers High School beginning at 7 pm.
