NEW MADRID COUNTY CENTRAL EAGLES TO START DISTRICT BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT TODAY
The New Madrid County Central Eagles’ quest for a 4th consecutive district championship begins tonight.
The Class 3, District 1 Tournament semifinal between the Eagles and Portageville Bulldogs, will tip off tonight at 6 pm in Portageville.
The winner of tonight’s game will face the winner of Malden Green Wave and the East Prairie Eagles on Saturday at 7 pm.

2024 THREE RIVERS COLLEGE ALUMNI REUNION SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
The 2024 Three Rivers College Alumni Reunion is coming up this weekend.
A full day of festivities is planned for Saturday, February 24th on the campus of Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.
Events include a pancake breakfast, fine art showcase, Alumni Star reception, 50 Years of Nursing reception, Raider of the Year recognition, and both Lady Raiders and Raiders basketball games versus Moberly.

SACRED HEART SCHOOL TO HOST FIESTA AUCTION IN APRIL
Sacred Heart School’s 27th Annual Fiesta Auction has been scheduled for this April.
Officials say the event will be held on Saturday, April 20th at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff.
There will be both a live and a silent auction. Doors are set to open at 5 pm, with dinner beginning at 6 pm.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 if purchased at the door. Each ticket includes dinner and two adult beverages.

POPLAR BLUFF WOMAN ARRESTED ON METH CHARGE
A Poplar Bluff woman was taken into custody on a felony drug charge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40 year old Jessica Bolin was arrested on Tuesday on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine.
Bolin is also facing charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and no seat belt.
Following the arrest, she was held at the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.
DATES ANNOUNCED FOR 45TH ANNUAL OLD GREENVILLE RENDEZVOUS
The dates have been announced for the 45th Annual Old Greenville Rendezvous.
The event, presented by the Crowley’s Ridge Blackpowder Club and the US Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Wappapello, will be held from April 19th through April 21st at the Greenville Campground.
There will be multiple events and entertainment options available and admission will be free to the public.

KIWANIS PANCAKE DAY SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 23RD
The Kiwanis Club of Poplar Bluff will be hosting the 86th Annual Pancake Day next month.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 6 am to noon at the Poplar Bluff Junior High Cafeteria.
Tickets for the event are $6 and get you sausage, a drink, and all you can eat pancakes. Carry out will also be available.
The event is being held to benefit the Bacon Park playground project.
